How about 9:45am for 10:00am departure at Munno Para (Smithfield) Maccas (Sat July 5).

It's on Main North Rd (in the car park of the Munno Para shopping centre) and should be easy to find for everyone.

    What does every body think?

    Paul.

PS. For those that are coming or may be coming, I will setup a private area on my web site and will PM you the web addres and a password if PM me your name and mobile number (this will keep your details secure and only those that are coming on the trip will be able to see them. And once the trip is completed I'll delete everything).

      So what's the head count?

What are we doing about lunch? Group lunch or do your own thing?

        Hi All,

If you folks don't mind some ringins from the North then put us down as tentative starters. I will be able to say for certain about mid week.

If it is okay then there will be two adults and two kids, one 6 year old girl and one 8 month old boy.

Oh and just exactly where are we heading to and what are we going to be doing????

        Cheers

Looking good for the 5th, my wife has to work in the morning but we should be able to be at Maccas by 10 am or there abouts.

Looking forward to meeting every one, especially our interstate guests Mav and crew, and bitdist if you are calling in

As an idea for lunch we can bring a small BBQ, big enough for sausages and onion but nothing too glam. Another one would be good if we are having a communal BBQ, my gas bottle is out of date and on the last fill ops: Always good to have a back up plan

Also good to see some other children joining us.

...well, my other half would say im as grown up as the kids. The only difference between us is the cost of our toys!

Our BBQ is a bit big to fit in the Prado but am happy to bring the gas bottle!

Anyone mind if we bring the dog? (Friendly Labrador) he'll be with us for the weekend in Loxton.
If anyone has an issue with dogs we are happy to leave him at the inlaws place.

sorry to hijack your thread, but I need some help and thought what better way is there to get most of the SA crew to read it than post in a SA thread

I've asked mjf and he didn't know, so thought someone else might.

I got some salmon trout sent to me from Adelaide. They were collected by commercial fishermen at a place I didn't hear clearly.

                      either Port or Point
something kind of like Curram, Carang, Currum, Corron ??? but could be quite different.

anyone know a place where commercial guys are fishing for trout that rings a bell?

feel free to PM if you don't want to clutter the thread

                            Thanks Mav,

I wondered about The Coorong. So, now I know there are definately salmon there, but does anyone know if there are commercial fishermen down that way?

Nice lofty - a little tommy (we call them Herring). Today, I spent the whole afternoon with a rod fishing for them - tough job eh!

Thanks fishnut, there definitely are, or have been commercial fishermen on the Coorong. I dont know enough of the place to recognise any of those place names though.

Then again, i dont even know if there are still commercial fishermen on the Coorong, its not a well part of the Murray River system at the moment.

I will ask around and see what i can find out for you if no one on here knows off the top.

Taken from the link I gave :

Commercial fishing occurs both along the extensive stretch of beach and in some parts of the wetland complex
