UHF Channel: UHF 16

Trip description
This trip has been recce'd and is set out in two halves.
AM
For the morning run we will be following some beginner level tracks with a stop off at Somerset Lookout for morning tea.
Dry weather would see the morning suitable for stock vehicles and novice drivers.
As always though, All terrain tyres or stronger are recommended as we will be off-road and staking from sharp rocks, fallen timber etc... is always a possibility.
LUNCH
We should arrive at the Gantry Day Use Area by 12 midday where we will stop for an extended lunch break. It's all BYO for lunch but there are timber BBQ's at the day use area or you can bring your own burner or pre packed lunch if you like.
We should be able to spend a solid hour or possibly 2 at lunch so it is as much a meet and greet as it is a day on the trails.
Please note: there are no rubbish bins at the day use area so please bring a rubbish bag or similar so you can take out what you bring in... maybe even a little more
PM
Depending on timing and interest after lunch (as well as the weather) you will have options as to when you call it a day.
You can call it a day after lunch and in that case you can depart Mt Mee via Sellin Rd and return to Dayboro via Mt Mee Road.
... or, the PM trails will most likely follow the "Dirty Weekends in SEQ" track notes for Mt Mee (in reverse order, going via A break, Diana's Bath Rd, Jacky Creek Break etc...) Returning to Dayboro via Laceys Creek Rd.
The areas of A Break through to Jacky Creek break are probably considered medium level track in the dry and might become hard level tracks if it becomes wet at any stage before the trip. (low range is highly recommended for these areas)
It's a bit late for me after a very long day so if there's anything I need to add or clarify I'll get to that tomorrow.
Hope to see you there, and bring the whole family if you want
