  • Re: NSW: next day out

    Hey Boomslang,
I haven't been to that region yet, so I'd definitely be interested in checking it out. Given the distance though, it might be worth camping overnight (and have more time to explore). Thoughts?

    SilverGXL,
You'll need to consider some lift to enjoy that area as there's some pretty tuff tracks. I've hit a couple times and seen a ute break his steering. But hey, worth a look..

      Camping - no problem.
We camped at the silent creek next to the river but there are also the beach and the sink campsites- both next to the river as well.

If that included 3x new ignition coils I reckon you'd have a pretty big hole in your pocket!
The paj has a new fan/viscous coupling but hasn't been out, so don't know yet.

I'm pretty keen for a drive this Sunday but the paj isn't in. Hopfully someone is in.............

                    Sounds good Glenn. I'm in.

Glad to hear your Prado's back on the road. Could be another day with a good 90 series turn out.

                    Cheers,

No need for coil packs luckily; it was probably a dud plug or lead as it's running fine now 8)

Glen_ep or whoever, if you want to organise this trip please go ahead. I'm waiting on people to get back to me which may not be till tonight so a bit uncertain for me atm, looks like it'll be a last minute decision if we do go. Weather forecast for Lithgow is clearing shower so should be OK up at Newnes SF 8)
                      Cheers,

Weather forecast is accurate about 1 minute before it happens in my experience

and even that is saying something.... :!: ...

but really, it may be rather warm according to Weatherzone, so we shall take the chance & be at the mercy of the elements next weekend. so we may head to Colo Hts powerlines which is an easy drive for a change, busting a CV will be unlikey unless you want to try........

Could go to Putty State Forest if any of the Newcastle crew want to meet us there & check it out :?:

I haven't been there for years & did very little exploring so unfamiliar territory............
