Ohh I sense a fear of the cold due to past experience!! hehe I haven't camped in the snow yet so I'm keen to give it a go. I've camped on Mt Pinnibar (~1740m) at around 0 degrees with strong winds (freeeezing chill factor), and my sleeping bag kept me a little too hot.

I've always wondered that too, ask Glenn!
Saturday makes more sense to me, cause then we have Sunday to clean up the mud and straighten and bent bits.

    • I'm not sure if we should make a big deal about the Saturday trip as it hinges THE call. Or at least anyone keen to attend accepts that it may not happen or may be cut short.

She'll be right mate!! Shouldn't be any issues this week, but yeah gotta be prepared though ;-)

It'll be good to get Max over to Ourimbah - he's keen to use his Prado for what it's meant for :-)

Worst case you could make Chapman Pde the backup plan for Sat. It's only 1-2 tracks but from what I've read you could spend some time pushing things on the side track (rocks).

Glen i am more than happy to try everything which would not need an air locker ........had i met Declan before i would rather spent money on lockers instead of the lift .

There is some crown land out at Riverstone (Loftus St) that has a few tracks. Its not a very big area though and you'd struggle to waste a whole day there. There's plenty of (optional) locker action and mud too.
