........Any one interested for a trip this weekend ?
    Hey buddy,
I can't camp this weekend Some idea's though..

Turon River N/P (has toilets) - For a nice open forest, some 4x4ing and big river crossings

Lidsdale S/F, Lake Lyall (no toilets) - For some harder 4x4ing, Mt Walker and the pleasant Cox's river.

Or if with family, go to Wombeyan Caves via Wombeyan Caves Rd - great scenery, a big river along the way and the caves make for great family adventure. Cheaper than Jenolan, and a better drive IMO. Not much 4x4ing but I quick drop into Jellore S/F for the famous powerline climb will certainly satisfy.

Remind me not to use the diff "specialist" that you used. Gee, your rig has munched through a few CV's now!

It isn't going yet lol. I've jumped the gun in updating my signature. The LPG isn't being fitted till Monday.

I've done the maths and the conversion makes sense for me. I'll have cheaper running costs than a TD 80 series and more power. I don't do any towing or long range travel and I think the 80 series fuel system lends itself to a dual fuel system much better than the 90 series.

Of course having the LPG tank underneath will hurt the clearance (and I'm still considering mounting the tank in the cargo space) but considering 99.99% of the KM's I do (30,000KM/Year) are on road, its a trade off I'm happy to live with.

Probably in about 100,000 KM or so I'll get the head rebuilt with hardened valve seats for LPG. I've been quoted $1200 for the head rebuild with me removing and refitting the head myself and $2700 for drive in/drive out service.

I can't bag the specialist, he's been looking after me better than ARB so far, but of course both are blaming each other. I won't cop out and pay this time, I'll get to the bottom of it. BTW I raised my rig and tested the locker, locked on every attempt, so it's just an oil problem and intermittant locking issue.

This is the third CV, but it's the INNER this time... that's different! I don't know what the actual damage is yet.

                    • yeah Samo, I'd say it occured on the pipeline - that crack noise occured whilst the front was fully articulated up/down (no sway bar), locked, and turning. I installed the diff drop to reduce the changes of CV damage, but then also increased the chances by disconnecting the sway bar. I'd love to open it up and see what has happened but need to try for warrantee first.

Ben, maybe one day, but it'll be a GU 4.8L
