Just us, 1 vehicle. We had other interested parties but they couldn't make it for various reasons. For the sake of recovering from a major incident additional vehicles would be wise, especially given we didn't see a single person on the trails. Alternatively, I'm thinking chains on all 4 tyres and a sat phone for next time.

Any time there's a decent forecast of cold and possible snow, Mt Canobolas near Orange is pretty much a sure bet.

Had a nice drive and play up there on Sunday.

I think you will find that chains don't work on the front Prado wheels due to rubbing when turning.

You're absolutely correct!
With my lift I'll either have to go down to 32's or modify the front even further to make em fit with 33's

Sorry to hear that Mark and hope everything goes well.
It doesn't look like we'll be going anyway as the truck is still in Lithgow having its front diff rebuilt.

It was nice for a change, usually just frosty and miserable. Snow makes it a bit more enjoyable for something different! Probably around 2-3 times a year yep..
