Well guys/gals, we may not be able to make it to the Watagan showdown.

We 'were' due to take delivery of our Kimberley Karavan this week.

However........ after talking off an on most of yesterday to some idiot (who has been appointed a temporary manager) from the place we are buying it from we now find out it will most likely be a pickup 'sometime' NEXT weekend.

    Grrrrrrreat timing eh?

Will keep you informed however the possibility is slim.

    Cheers

      How frustrating Pete.

Hang in there mate - the wait will be worth it when the shiny new KK is in the driveway.

      Cheers

Count me in for NSW meet up.

Travelling from Clarence (Lithgow), so could meet up with Blue Mountains members - Drew, others?

G'day Matthew and welcome to PradoPoint.com

I'm roughly half way between Lithgow and Richmond, I'd be happy to meet you at Bilpin.

I'll let you know times a bit closer to the date.

              Cheers,
              Drew.

Well it looks like I'm out.

                http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=7010#7010

Toyota have told me that the 120 should be back "hopefully Monday". :x

So another NSW trip down the pipe for me.

At least I can stay home and study! Hooray! :?

BTW, Matthew (120GXV6) did you get my email? I haven't received a reply - again. Did you end up selling your wheels?

                Cheers all,

                Drew.

                  Drew,

                  Nil response to tyres!

I will have spare seats on Saturday if you wanted a lift - and I will be only going for the day.

                    NSW meet up

Hi Guys, are you still on for the Watagans this weekend? I won't be able to do both days but I am going to try for one of them.

Have you decided on a final meeting place once there (co-ordinates might be good also and UHF channel)

                    Regards

                    Tony

Thanks for the offer of a lift. I might give it a miss though, it's not the same without my 120 - imagine yourself in the same situation.

I'm not sure if Camo is still going, forgot to mention it at work tonight and he's not in tomorrow.

Anyone would think the NSW trip was cursed given the cancellation rate!. :x

When I get the 120 back and the locker fitted, I want to go and do the track that blew my diff - maybe that would be a good day trip for those in the Sydney/Mountains area.

I still want to go to the Watagans soon - I'll have to see when I get my truck back.

                      Cheers,

                      Drew.

No worries Drew. It's not the same situation for me though, as I have a Landcruiser Ute, Troopie & Triton also!

Can anyone confirm numbers of people intending to go?

I've plenty of other things to do if it's a fizzer!

Unfortunaltey I am still waiting to hear if we can pick up our Kimberley Karavan this weekend. It will take us most of a day to pickup up the van and go through the in and outs.
We can make either Sat or Sun, it depends on the van pickup day.

                            Watagans

Did some track Clearing in the Watagans a few weeks ago. Entered from The basin Camping Area and emerged near Laguna thence to Wollombi. Cleared approximately 20 fallen trees

Track hadn't been used by 4WD vehicles for several years. Some interesting rocky downhill and washed out sections.

Recommend the area for practising steep rocky descents.

Wollombi Tavern has a great fireplace and some elixer named Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice. Can't remember much after that. Oh! Except that the publican allows overnight stays in their back paddock.

                            Worth a visit!

                              Watagans

                              Hey guys

Can someone please confirm where you are meeting up in the Watagans on Saturday 2nd. GPS coordinates would be good and where you are actually entering the area. We could spend all day looking for you and run out of time otherwise.

                              Regards Tony

Welcome to the forum - I see your location is Londonderry - I must apologise about the aircraft noise, I'm always buzzing that place. Nah, who am I kidding - I'm not sorry.

Maybe we could postpone the trip to another weekend not too far away if not many people put their hands up.
