It's seems to have been real ad-hoc, but it would be nice to drum up a bit of interest for something a bit more regular

As of the 7th July, however, I'm off for 3 months showing my Prado some more of this country. Really keen when I get back though.

      Cheers

It seems a bit hard to get a day to suit everyone. But I'm available most weekends so if we could round up 2 or 3 and do a run for the ones that can't always make it would still be worth a trip. I would like to find a few more good tracks around the place also. So throw your suggestions in.

I'd be keen to get out every 4-6weeks. I don't work weekends, though they tend to get "book up" with other pass times. So knowing a few weeks in advance would make it easier to commit and keep that day free.

                      OK.
It seems likes its Alkimos or Wilbinga to Seabird. I've never to to either and would be happy to do either, though we need to make sure someone who is a definate starter knows the way.
Anyone want to put there hand up to lead?

I know the way into the Alkimos, but there's nothing too hard about finding the way in there. There's a track runs off to the left just after you hit the top end of Marmion Ave. That runs down the beach and there are several tracks to take from there.
The other Wilbinga to Seabird track I'm not sure about though. I think Russ has done this track before though.

I've got the Wilbinga to Seabird trip notes in one of my mags but I'm sure Russ has been there.

                          WHERE ARE YOU RUSS ?

Sorry if I was a bit loud for everyone else - but Russ does live in the Northern suburbs.

                            Hi guys,
Yes I do know the tracks but have footy till about 9.30 - 9.45 min. unless I can get out of it.(I'm working on it).
I probably will have to catch up you guys again .Tell me where and when I what uhf channel and I will see if I can find you.

The Alkimos is a bit of sand dune climbing and a bit of a beach run ,(I'm not sure if it is 100% cosher with the shire on the beach) but the tracks are alright .Some are a bit of a chalenge,Assess to Alkimos can be via pipidinny road or one of lot of other tracks.
Wilbinga is track driving and beach driving can be very difficult and soft on the beach .
The best way to start wilbinga is follow the 4wd day out book .

Don't know about the others Russ - but a sleep in wouldn't go astray.

What would be a good meet up place for Wilbinga ?

                              Cheers

How about Macdonalds Wanneroo at 9.45 - 10.00 Gives me a chance to get there on time...Wilbinga is about 30 odd km from there or the start of it is.
We could have a meet and greet, grab a coffee and go?
