MLC: Thanks for doing the testing. Glad that you're still happy with them. Perhaps a TC plate to cover your testing fee?
pjorek: Happy to take a closer look at the radiator plate.
LFaR: I just got a quote back for the transfer case (TC) plate with a lead time of 3-4 weeks. But as timing is out of my control, I won't try to make promises. The fabricators had failures with the plasma cutter last year and I can only assume that it will be smooth flowing from now on. I've been away for a week and will get back under the car again to get the prototype model sorted for the TC. As for the 2 main plates for the 150, only the front one needs a bigger bend on 2 folds. One of which is to allow for a diff drop. Otherwise, it fitted up perfectly. I'd imagine that the next batch of 120 and 150 will start pretty soon with the TC plate not far behind.
Tei: noted.

[QUOTE=amts;327260]The 1st batch of 120 bashplates did not have the transfer case protected. Now with the next batch for the 120 and 150, there is an oppurtunity to have the transfer case as a separate item as it is a standalone plate. So the breakdown will be like this:
Plate 1 - Diff and sump
Plate 2 - transmission
Plate 3 - transfer case
Definitely add the transfer case bash plate to my existing order thanks Andrew, that is of course if you end up producing them.
Tei.

Oooh, I just noticed this. So the earliest for the 150 plates seems to be around April/May? Perhaps realistically, it will be more like June?Originally posted by amts View PostProduction is 6-8 weeks. Prototype can be a month.

Andrew I do have a sovereign bullbar (as do you by the looks of it) and I'd be interested if you ever decided to give it a go.
I did see the DIY thread, and was thinking of doing it but it won't come out as good as the one you've sent me

DO NOT BUY THESE PLATES! If you drive over big rocks and deep ruts and do things that would otherwise cause a lot of damage to the underside of your car the paint gets scraped off the plates!!!!!!!
Yes folks, the plates get a little dinked from the weight of the car resting on them and the paint gets scraped off after multiple attemnpts. No damage happens to your car, but please, the paint comes off and the get a little bashed around!
Oh hang on, that may mean they actually work as intended........ never mind, back to what ever you were doing........
PS I expect a "testing fee" AMTS, they passed with flying colours

Guest repliedThis would depend on the bullbar. Most notably, the Sovereign bullbar lacks this plate however, there is a well documented DIY thread for this. Happy to look into it but it will be for the Sovereign bar only as others like the ARB and TJM already have the 3 deflector plates supplied with the bar which protects the radiator.Originally posted by pjorek View PostAndrew, just out of interest (perhaps a suggestion) since you've done well one these plates how about producing one that goes between radiator cross member all the way to the bullbar??
Noted.Originally posted by Shan View PostNote me for a Transfer Case plate as well Andrew !!
This is almost becoming a full time job.

Guest repliedWill do, Nick.
Cheers Piotr
Toddy,
The first 2 plates that you received will remain unchanged. There will now be a 3rd plate that goes further back and covers the transfer case. First draft CAD model available in the following thread

The 120 also has this black plastic box hanging off the rear of the transfer case similar to the 150.

amts - will the bash plates also protect the transfer case? How long from prototype to production loosely speaking?

That's ok Richo I like to smash up the originals a bit first before getting new ones? I will probably get the TJM to match with the bullbar.
