I have now updated the first post of this thread with the ordering details.

Details please Andrew? (Think I will find it hard getting the light pole past the SWMBO if it's yellow....)

        • It's currently at the machinist cause I can't cross drill the tube and make sure the hole is centred using a cordless drill.
It's 32mm tube with 3mm walls. Had to buy a whole length! But it means that I can extend the length of the yellow pole slightly for more height but not too much that the light is above the roof line when retracted. The pole can be anodised black too when the machinist is done with it.

Didn't take any photos cause I didn't feel like strapping a 6.5m pole to the back door!

          • So does this new pole completely replace the yellow pole, or do we still need that with the new design?

            Comment

            • It replaces just the yellow part of the pole. You'll still need the rest of the pole assembly. It's an option for those who aren't taking well to yellow coloured fibreglass.

                • Got it Bernie.

Also forgot to add in the ordering info which model Prado you have: 90/120/150.
Light pole bracket is currently sorted for the 120 only.

                  • I've skimmed through the thread but couldn't see if the spacer comes in a powdercoat finish or is it just bare metal? I may have need of one for my 150 if I can convince the hubby that we need a spare which matches the other 4 tyres on the vehicle.

                    • It is polished stainless steel.

                      • OK, is that the same as the factory job? Sorry for the noob question but I've only seen enough of the current spare to know it's a factory tyre, the cover wasn't taken right off.

Not sure what you mean by this....

The picture in the first post is not the latest revision. It is stainless steel but in its unpolished state which makes it look like mild steel.

                          • Sorry AMTS I meant the stock Toyota bracket, not any of your versions.
