120 Prado shift lever repair kit

This fix saved my life. The shifter was getting stiff and I hit it hard out of L-Gear then the shifter went all floppy. I honestly thought new gearbox. Even the floor shift assembly is priced at $1400aud. So a $33aud fix made my day. Thanks all for this advice.

Hey amts. is the 4spd auto meant to be spring loaded between drive and 3.
mine is and wasn’t sure if this is a fix for that or not.

Yes it is. the pin has popped out and this repair kit will fix it.

The kit has been posted (from Sydney). Hopefully will arrive soon.

Arrived yesterday. New part installed within 10 mins. Shifter now works as it should! Wife is now super happy!!

Just had this issue happen this morning. The shifter from D to 4 was very stiff. Almost had to hit it to get it into position. Then all of a sudden the shifter became "floppy" and wouldn't stay in 4, could go to 3 and 2 but then wouldn't stay in L. A quick google search lead me here. After reading the instructions I went and took the console apart, the "Bullet" was nowhere to be found. So ordered the kit and hopefully it arrives quick and will solve my issue.
