  • That's fine. Indeed it's very common in vehicle wiring to switch the return (ground) wire rather than the supply (12V) wire.

            • Not sure if I still have them. If you still have them I'm happy for you to post them.

              • With many thanks to maulbeagle, the Mk2 combo bracket has been confirmed to fit in the 150 facelift V6 engine without any relocation of the charcoal canister.

If anyone with a pre-facelift V6 (2009-13) would like to check their engine bay for me, please let me know.

Nice work! Is there enough room at the bottom for the Fuel manager filter?

Basically it is to check if the charcoal canister is the same as the one pictured and that there are 2 threaded holes on the inner guard free (just under the bonnet strut).

                      • Yeah plenty of room thanks. Small puddle of diesel under the car tonight though. Have to re check all seals tomorrow

Did some investigation today. No diesel leak, the stuff under the car was water mixed with a bit of diesel (the stuff I spilled wile installing the filter). While the car was running I did notice a puddle forming under the area of the filter on the ground. Turns out its water condensation from the air conditioner. Putting in the fuel filter coincided with a massive spoke in humidity in the prints which is very unusual for here so wasn't ever expecting to see water puddles.

                          • Hey amts, I've had a look through this thread and done a search but couldn't see whether you make a bracket to suit an 06 v6? I saw an early 120 v6 and one for a 150 facelift.

                            Thanks

I don't believe it will fit due to the larger size charcoal canister in the way.

                              • Thanks anyway. Am looking at a spot behind air intake piping or in the cargo area next to my drawer.
