Guys ..I've got one but as yet I've never used it. Great deal by MickL though. If you want one off the peg try John at:
http://www.lifestyleracks.com.au/2.html (scroll down, last 2 small pics bottom).

It won't have the carpet like Mick's but will save you a lot of welding?? I just use the rack atm.

              Hi Mick
Your fridge shelf looks good and has generated some interest from fellow PPers.
Did you fabricate this yourself or was it sourced from another manufacture.
Could I ask the dimensions of the shelf.

              Cheers

                Hi Troy,

I knocked this up a few years back before an extended trip. I basically made it out of bits and pieces I had in the shed.

It measures 700x400mm but from memory you can go a little bigger in the space created by removing the single seat form the second row.

The photos below show the construction method; basically a metal frame with a sheet of MDF on top. Brackets can be made out of anything suitable but in my case the are UNI-STRUT brackets that I already had.

The loops for the straps are chain links.

Works a treat, although with the Engel (being tall and lid hinged at the end) I had to remove the grab handle above the door of the Prado to open the lid all the way.

Pretty simplz..... make it in an hour or so.

Hmmmmm, may have just found a use for some of that scrap steel you have Mick. I even have a couple of sheets of 12mm mdf in the carport.

                  Thanks for the photos.

Hi mIck, I am looking at making up a second row fridge mount after removal of passenger side rear seat in Prado I notice your old post on this but the photos are no longer available. Are you able to offer any advice or photos on how to make up the mounting hardware. Cheers Ivan

Have a Prado 120 http://www.lifestyleracks.com.au/ middle row passenger side frame for the fridge. Fits the ARB 47L and other similar sizes.

Seems the rack is no longer made, but fits easy with 4 bolts to the seat brackets.

Original cost was $150 + freight

Happy to sell @ $100 plus freight or pickup here in Adelaide.
