  • Oh yea... im keen for a copy of violets plans as well... I have been thinking of making my own recovery point for a while now- as im not really keen on the 2 hole / outback ideas type. I find it amazing that you can't buy these 3 hole type 'off the shelf' but what's even better are the blokes here on PP. Full of good info and great help. Any help with a set of their plans would be appreciated.

        Short answer - No!

You could get them load tested but that would only rate the points - as soon as you attach them to the vehicle they aren't rated any more.

Best way - send it to a fabricator.
Easy way - pull that bridgeport milling machine out of the shed, wipe the dust off it and start milling.
hard way - grinder, drill, and a bastard file.

            did i miss anything?

                    • Sorry to bump an old topic, but all the pics throughout the topic are no longer available. I'm after a 3 bolt recovery point. If anyone has some around? or even the drawings or template?

                        • I've just found a set of the ones I originally made for a heap of people here...complete with bolts. They have been lost in my shed for many years. I'll work out what I originally sold them for (cost price as I wasn't making money from them) if anyone wants them.

I should have the tempate somewhere as well.

Give me a couple of days....

note that if you want some more info about these points...my first post is on page 7 in this thread. I could update the photos on the fitment thread if people want this...

Yes please! Would love some, if Wokii or anyone else that has commented before me donít pick them up. Otherwise template would suffice.

                            Thanks,
