OK I'll try and get some up soon. To clarify for you & others the PZQ.. part number is for the winch assembly not the Sov bar!! I don't often use (very rarely) my winch but it goes fine for me. As far as I can read if you see Superwinch it's basically a genuine Toyota accessory so for guys like my car they (bar & winch) got fitted from the factory (??). I read on a different thread about Sov alloy bullbars..without the cradle they are soft but with that winch cradle that front section would cause some serious damage..a Roo?? Not different to steel but its not all over the bar! If you have the Superwinch..no need to buy a new one??!!!

Ive vot the runve 11xp on my beast. Its a tight fit but it does get in there.
The control box is hidden behind the bar.
I control lead plugs into the box thru the vented/slotted part of the sov bar.
Mind you, my bar is one of the later designed ones snd the vents are a plastic insert not cast alloy and part of the bar its self.

OK, I took some pics..but they really don't say an awful lot, mainly because I cannot get to the cradle because of my amts radiator bash plate.

I really did not want to take these off as it (Rad plate) is attached to a heavy aftermarket TJM bash plate. With only me, they are a right palaver to get off but also to put back on! The cradle is really entombed within the Sovereign bar, the 9500llb Superwinch was installed with the bar (by dealer/factory) altogether but many years ago now!
I know the steel wire has not been tensioned properly but I've not had the time or found a large enough tree to tension it altogether since my battery went!!? I plan on doing it on my next trip??!! If you need some better pics I can try with my flash camera.... Hope they help!?

Yeah..I know they don't show much. Even know I think where is that pic from? I only put the plate on a few months ago. Before then I could have gone underneath and got far better access. If you need any more specific ones of certain areas, let me know and I'll see what I can do. The cam phone has no flash so I was playing it by ear. Well sorry guys, I completely forgot the pics, just went in gung-ho and did it not thinking too much. She's all in now. Some tips:
-I used an engine crane to hold the bullbar in place while I was working. That way I could take it back from the car about 100mm which was enough to get the cradle in without undoing the wiring on the bullbar. That said when you are installing the cradle or winch it is definately a 2 man job. 1 holding the cradle/winch, the other bolting it up.
-I found the 4x bolts that came with the cradle intended to hold the winch in were too short by about 5mm so I had to get some replacements.
-Think very carefully about where you rotate your winch gearbox so that the engage lever is in a suitable spot. I didn't take into account the extra little struts that go from the top of the cradle to the chassis mounts. Set your lever so it will be a good 45 degrees towards the radiator or more. I thought I was going to have to pull the winch out to rotate the gearbox and was about to cry until my mate suggested we take the washer out on the bolt that holds the strut and that gave me the bees dick I needed for the lever to clear the bolt head.
-I was missing the extra shims that were supposed to come with the cradle kit. These are placed between the cradle and bullbar to level out your bull bar so the gaps are straight and equal on both sides of the car. Luckily the ones that were already in there levelled it and evened it up.2005 GXL KZJ120 3.0TD. Good advice....Mine came with the clutch lever facing down facing towards the ground, making it susceptible to being knocked off in the arrival angle. hey guys i was just wondering where i could put my hands on a winch cradle for the soveriegn bar these days as i have just gotten my first prado and am in dire need to do it up starting at the front and working my way back. Any help would be greatly apprecciated

Toyota Aus no longer have stock left and allegedly will never have them back....the bars are not made anymore. Breakers may now be your best bet.. Hope it helps
