  • Rated recovery points - 120 series

Could anyone point me towards info regarding fitting of rated recovery points to a 120 series ? Have searched the forums with no luck. BTW, I have an ARB Deluxe steel bar on front. Thanks in advance.

What’s wrong with the ones already on the ARB bull bar?

Ok, I've contacted AMTS and he no longer sells them. I too have the ARB Deluxe bullbar. I've looked at the ones on eBay and they don't seem to be compatible with this bullbar.

Anyone got any ideas or anyone selling their AMTS recovery points?

        Cheers,
        Al

On the subject of "rated" recovery points, my 4x4 club discussed the need for all members' vehicles to be fitted with such points. However, we were told that manufactures are moving away from rating this range of product as it leaves them open to litigation if an incident occurs where it is claimed their points failed causing injury.

The internet will just 'rate' them then. They'll be rated that ways. "Mate, those ones are sweet, I rate them"

If it makes you feel any better. Prado s don’t get stuck, well at least twin locked Prados don’t.

Ive has the amts points for 2 years now and I’ve never used them

I fitted the roadsafe RP-PRA150 tow points to mine, they are intended for the 150 series but will fit the 120 series as well. However supposedly will only fit pre-2006 prados, mines 2005 so can't really verify that one. Did fit easily on mine. Details in the thread below.

You can always use a "bridle strap" between the two recovery points on the ARB bullbar and this will help evenly distribute the load.
