Yes, front is available. Had one fitted tyo the front of mine about 3 weeks ago. Haven't tried it out yet as a mate has my 120. He broke his front diff and CV's (80 series) 5 weeks ago in the Glasshouse Mountains.

If only fitting one locker would Rear be the best option ?

I'm no diff expert so I thought I would ask here. I had my e-locker fitted last Friday, now I have a drive line whine between 80-90km/h, it worse when I back off the accelerator. Is this normal after the diff has been changed? I am hoping it just needs to "bed in" after the change over. I don't think this anything to do with the locker, just the installation.

          Any thoughts?

Yep, installation problem. Diff wine is because the crown wheel and pinion gears are meshing in a different location than they were previously. Unless the pinion bearings were done at the same time, it will be a backlash setting problem, either too little or too much. Either way, take it back before it causes any damage in there.

and getting it sent to Portugal or the UK?

Opposite Lock in Gosford. I was very happy with the work and price. I will go back to them if (when) I get the front ones.

I am not sure if they are in Portugal

Even if all bearing had been replaced, there should be no noise at all if it was setup correctly and it might not be just backlash but could also be a bearing preload problem and generally i'd say it has to do with too much preload on carrier bearings.

If people are having issues with air lockers then again it hasnt been setup properly and needs to be looked at, or bad driving habbits/lack of maintenance.

And a final point is that NO locker auto/air/E or any standard LSD or open diff is a set and forget and correct oils must be used. Seen it all to often that people dont change their oils regularly enough or use incorrect oil which can have huge effects on diffs.

Diff breather size should also be considered as too small or blocked breathers cause as much damage as not changing your oil.

Hi 120prado, thanks for the info. I did take my car back to Opposite Lock for them to look at but they didn't believe there was a problem with the backlash and actually had their regional manager have a look at the car and he also said it was ok. I dropped the car off in the afternoon and they checked it the next morning. They said that they did not notice any unusual noise. They also said that if it was back lash, that it would be heard all the time, not just between 80-90.

The carrier bearings were replaced at the time of the locker install, I noticed the whine noise within a few days of the install. I have traveled several thousand km's since the install and the noise is still present but not quite as loud as it was initially. I am going to replace all the uni joints soon and if that doesn't help I may take it back to them for another look. There is still a definite noise! so I will go for a drive with their mechanic if I take it back so I can make sure they are hearing what I am hearing.
