They removed and put a post I already apologised for which was fair enough,
though was just trying to help members, don't know if it got put back or not.

Piggy did let me know though, I think the new rules state suspect links will be removed
so not sure if they normally advise or just remove the link.

Piggy will most likely comment if he sees these posts, think their having
just as much trouble finding out how the new system is to work

Cool, thanks again for the info.
Similar thing happened last week when I offered some 120 series superseded stock out at cost to PP members (potentially saving them hundreds of dollars). Advert got pulled and I was told it would have to be approved. Never heard back, told them to just delete it. Once again it is no skin off my nose, just wanting to help out PP members.

Bit silly hey... helping others haha.... Thats what Pradopoint is all about... or has it lost its vision... I run a site with 600gig bandwidth per mth and it costs me a whole 119$ a year, 30gig site ftp.... I think if its saving members here the trouble and costs, then why should anyone be edited or punished for it....

Waterproof electrical connectors for roof cage?

          Yes seen and know..
Jus 10 I have contacted you a couple of times and forwarded it to he person that manages the commercial side. So whilst an answer hasn't Been yet decided by them obviously,
You did say to delete it yourself.. Albeit it is now in a holding area until its sorted by the powers that be.
If you have an issue a pm is preferable.

I have no issue, just a couple of us members talking about our 'environment'. Nothing to get excited about.
As I have said I don't particularly care if the excess Prado stock I have been given the task of liquidating gets advertised on PP, ebay or Gumtree, I was just trying to give something back to the PP members for all of the good info that has been handy for me in the past.
If I felt like I needed to send another PM regarding that particular offer I would have, but I did say delete it and don't wish it to become an issue or problem or anything else - especially if in some way it could jeopardise my membership for being a non-conformist.

Do you need to use the Deutsch crimp tool?

Yes you will need crimping tool too. We use size 16 which fits a 4mm wire. The 14AWG description on the link maybe referring to the wire size and not the crimp size? The sizes on the tools are as follows.
16 = 4mm FVT wire and copper wire
                    20 = 2mm HVT wire.

In short just ensure the sizes the tool is for.

I can give details of suppliers of everything Deutsch related if required. Pins, seals, plugs, blocking contacts etc.

Didn't actually see the plug being put on so not sure what was used to crimp the pins. Actually didn't realise there were pins.

Juist very happy with the end result and looks good as well.

I ended up just soldering it together, I figure if I ever need to remove the rack I'll cut the wire and re-solder. Better than the cost of the plugs and that way I know they won't get ruined with weather etc in the future and stop working when I need light camping.

Seems like a lot of work and expense for DIY - $20 per set of plugs plus $50 crimp tool....

I think I'll look at other solutions. I already have the female sockets on the spotty leads from when I bought the vehicle, but the are not long enough to reach my IPF lights so I think I will completely rewire from the relay to the lights and use different sockets.

These are waterproof....... I think the only way you can screw them up is disconnecting and leaving the bung out.....
