Well good news for those located in Sydney, BP is finally selling Ultimate Diesel here. Filled up a couple of days ago and the lack of foaming was clearly evident.

Hi all,
Just bumping this thread for the latest wisdom.
Unfortunately the end of my novated lease (thanks Krudd) means surrendering my BP fuel card and from next month I'll be paying for fuel out of my own pocket. Is it generally accepted that BP Ultimate Diesel is the best and most expensive? How does this scale run from value for money through to cheap and nasty? What brands are the folks on here buying?
Cheers,
Rob

I kinda have to laugh at this - as here in Hobart, tankers come in and fill the bulk tanks - and then it is distributed to the resellers. BP, Shell, Caltex - all come from the same bulk tanks. BP Ultimate Diesel just doesn't exist down here (to the best of my knowledge). Primarily fill with Shell for Flybys.'04 120 Petrol Flinders Red GXL
with ARB Catalog, with TJM add ons!

A quick "JOKE" for the kiddies!
Where do Bee's go when they want a Pee!...
The Bee Pee station!
PS i think the main objective here is to find a servo with clean tanks as the fuel will change if dumped into dirty tanks!
Have a nice day ay! lolLast edited by SWR; 25-07-2013, 10:48 AM.

For us ppointers in Melbourne who want to use shell not all service stations have Bio but you have to know what service stations get trucks out of Geelong or just fill up with B5.Dave

BP for me......apart from using fuel other than BP when I did my last Simo trip. Always use BP.

An old thread, but worth noting that I have always filled up my work 2007 D4D Hilux with United Diesel because their service station has 6 or 8 Diesel pumps and I don't have to wait. My ute did 200,000km without any issues until I upgraded to an SR5 in June.
Most of our company D4D Hiluxes fill up with United or Woolies Diesel, and we have never had injector problems. One of the utes was just traded at 278,000kms.
