My D4D has just hit 100,000k and was thinking maybe some injector cleaning additive might be due ..... I don't know if they work or if they do more harm than good. Any thoughts?
Cheers,Bruce.

Hi,
I used ChemTech in my 2003 KZ from 170,000 till 240,000 and by 200,000 the consumption was going down to around 12's and the pickup was much improved. By 340,000 was getting low 11's in Castrol Vortex. I changed to RX Castrol Super at 190,000 at every 5,000 and that seemed to make a difference too.
Have a 2008 D4D and will be using ChemTech in it too. Got to help the inlet manifold, waste gate, EGR and injectors.
Can anyone confirm chemtech diesel power is ok on d4d? Toyota commonrail diesels are more sensitive than a woman going through the menopause, so rather be sure before using it

That was funny as sh#t. Anyway, if the vehicle is still under warranty then use the Toyota stuff. I used it the first time the other day for my 80,000 service. Cost $43 for two bottles (does 180l). I have noticed that I am not using as much fuel as a result but that could have been the svc itself.

My truck driver friend gave me a couple of bottles of the Wynns EDT when I thought the car was running rough. It really did the trick so I called around to buy some more. Both supercheap auto and autobarn told me that will have to order it in and it'll cost about $35. However supercheap has told me that Wynns Formula Gold is the same stuff, I have used it once now and am about to use it again before I take a trip down to armidale. $30 will get you 500ml from supercheap. I'm still trialing it now but it has a lot of good reviews online. So where? supercheap Chermside, how much? $30. I hope this helps anyone out.
