I am disappointed in Baileys for raising this in the first place and disappointed at the way it has been handled. People need to make their own decisions on what they will do. Whether to go with the reco injectors and double the warranty, spend the same and get new NZ injectors and maybe a few hiccoughs if warranty is claimed or spend another $1k and go Denso with factory length warranty which is half what Baileys offer.
I didn't really want to weigh in here - BUT I would like to clarify that Baileys Injectors are not "reco" - check their site out. They bench test and batch injectors the same, the ones I have all have the same codes (though I must admit I am in anyways NOT an expert on coding injectors).

I found Baileys via Google search, before I knew they were on here. Been happy with their customer service, and ordered and installed an FM 100 that they sell. Not because it was the cheapest, but because of their customer service.

But that aside, I get where both Rick and Baileys are coming from. Baileys pays to advertise and support this site, that most join for free. I am an ICT Network admin, so with just looking on the surface of this site, there are some costs involved - depending who the provider is, Domain Name registration, etc.

But as I have always said opinions are like belly buttons - everyone has one.

      WTF!!!

So if they are not reco what are they??

Explain again how the calibration codes work because obviously DENSO got it wrong!

You clearly state not recko so whats with the trade in on the old injectors?

To me reconditioned or remanufactured are just two ways of saying the same thing. New parts in an old part to make it new again. If I am incorrect them please enlighten me.

Wow wee - this thread is going well off track !
As far as myself, Prado-admin and Baileys are concerned the matter of selling injectors is dealt with
Its up to the members to make their own decisions and post messages good or bad regarding their dealings

Re- Baileys injectors - as far as I am aware they source orginal failed injectors that they rebuild/blueprint with parts they themselves source - some from oversea's? (not from within Australia)
Matt from Baileys will no doubt be reading this thread - he will i'm sure enlighten all as to exactly what / where / how / and also about compenstaion settings etc of their injectors

PS - its now after 5 here and Im enjoying a nice cold bourbon

            Have a great weekend everyone

              Morning Guys

Here is some Info that i think you didn't know?

"Denso executives to plead guilty to price fixing in Toyota case"

ALSO:!! As you may not be aware of some confusion with the injectors "23670-30280" and the "23670-39316" as being different injectors?

Well actually they are both exactly the same "Euro4 DLC" injector!!! .... Lol

WHY?... Simple!!!.. The answer below explains

23670-30280 does not come with sealing washer!
23670-39316 comes with new type sealing washer! ... (Sealing Washer "IS" the Heat Shield!).

This is why the box number would be different to the injector number .... Not many know this but i wanted to share it with you!

As far as DLC injectors go i want to refresh your minds on how important these injectors "23670-30280" also better known as the "23670-39316" actually are and this injector supersedes all previous injector numbers for the Australian D4D PRADO (Not the Hilux) as they "23670-30280" are "ALL" Euro4 and more importantly "ARE" DLC!

NOTE: Euro4 Use extra pri-pilot injections over the Euro3 so this does not guarantee that a Euro4 injector is of the very important DLC type.

              What is a DLC Injector?

Hope some clarification has been applied for the different types of injectors etc!

              Cheers

Does that mean that there is no need to order this:

This is correct "YES" if ordering the Genuine 316's

Sorry for slow reply but i do rely on spell check the forum appears to have no longer?... Lol

A definitive is a toughie as when i first bought my injector back in November 2011 i thought (As was buying from what i "thought" was a friend) Brand New Genuine DLC injectors and back then i personally paid $2,882.00 and fitted my self! .... 40,000km later and 20 x months and they are well and truly Tucked!!!!... Not F'ing happy!!!

Lets not forget that the original injectors had done over 120,000km?

Now let me make it quite clear here as injectors have improved greatly since then and i don't have a clue where the A-hole (Ex-Friend) got them from but back then i only bought the 4 x Injectors/ 4 x Seating washers and 5 x Return line washers only.

Given that all up over time i have actually removed the Injector pipes 5 x times and R&R the Cam-cover twice i never once changed any of the other seals and they still don't leak to date and there is now over 160,000km on the clock.

Due to the kit i will be changing the Injector pipes this time around as i do think it would be very cocky and very un-wise not too! ..Lol

I will only be changing the Injectors and pipes and obviously will definitely be R&R the inlet manifold to clean it and the EGR thoroughly(Using spray without R&R is a "BIG" No-No), and will be re-using the metal gsk's and cam-cover seals as that is my choice and my rig and my Job! (Lectures on what i should and shouldn't be doing not welcome!).

If i was doing someone Else's then maybe replace all as not my money!.... When you have been in the game for as many years as i have you can actually tell within reason what does and doesn't need replacing.

On that note a definitive is down to who does the job and what they are comfortable with!

Life is a breeze when given and have options though!..... Anything else outside of that just sucks!

                      Cheers

If anyone is chasing new injectors I'd suggest ordering through Rick. I ordered early last week and had the parts delivered Friday. Better than waiting a month or more from UAE. I recieved 4 x injectors with seals, 4 x pipes, a set of washers for the injector spill lines and a rocker cover gasket which I ordered in addition as I was too lazy to go to the dealer. I didn't even have to track the order. Rick was PMing me as he had updates. Very good service, much better and easier than I've had ordering parts through other online sellers.

                          Thanks for the feedback GLX_D4d

One point to note Roo - these seats are to be looked at as a wear and tear item - just like tyres and brake pads
Even with the new seats - we are changing them out every 45k for a hard working vehicle and every 90k for the "Mum" run around ( dependant on the oil screen )
Oil and filter service every 7500k for hard working vehicle and every 10k for the local runner

These engines certainly take a their share of maintaining !!

                          Rick

Rick are your service intervals different to Oz (10k between services notwithstanding the advice on 5k oil changes)? 40k intervals for valve clearance checks which I reckon is the best opportunity for injector feedback readings and maybe seat changes.

the intervals set were 15k light duty with no extra oil change in between
                              7.5k for H/duty operation

I think we would all be in agreeance that 15k is just too far between checks for a D4d under any operating condition

Hence the 45k spec for valve clearance/ injector seats - as a rule is done at 40k ( no silly audible checks )

Roo assuming the injector feedback values are kosher at 120k would you still change out the injectors at 130k? 316s or the 150 equivalent. As for the valve clearance check I will be making sure this is done by the book.
