Well, I've just organised a set of Bailey's Injectors. My dilemma now is what else I need to do, in different quarters I hear that it is a good idea to replace the fuel lines to the injectors and clean out the tank and fuel line from the tank, clean out the intake manifold, but this adds a fair bit more to the cost.I understand that if that is necessary then I will have to do it but if it is overkill I would like to spend that money on myself....(my wife is reading this over my shoulder)I mean I liked to spend it on my wife.

If you read the baileys info they seem to pin the blame on injector wear hence the DLC coating.
Wear can be attribute to unsuitable materials, lack of lubricate and abrasive matter, the first one you have no control over, the second one you could add two stroke oil to the fuel but it is up in the air as to whether this is a good or bad thing to do.
The third you can do something about by fitting and additional fuel filter, preferably one that also traps moisture.
As for cleaning the tank and lines, that is what the filters are for and why the fuel is continually circulated through the system, you could spend heaps getting them cleaned, but your next purchase of fuel could be full of crud. I would invest in another filter if I was you.
As for injectors, my friends Prado, 2008 model which we believe is fitted with new type injectors has 150000Kms on the clock, has a Raycor filter fitted, injectors are a little noisy when cold but still test ok, but I'm sure there are probably vehicles out there without additional filters fitted with similar K's on them.

When my time comes, I will probably do the following:
- injectors
- fuel lines
- new rocket gasket
- Any other seal/gasket that needs replacing whilst doing the job
- Clean EGR+intake mainfold
- Replace Coolant (as the car will be close to 150k kms)
- Replace timing belt + water pump (as the car will be close to 150k kms)
Obviously if you're nowhere near 150k kms don't bother about the last two. Others might have a different opinion. Cleaning EGR etc is a good idea IMO.

To the OP. Take advantage of the top end in pieces and do it all at once. I only changed my rocker cover gasket and seals when I done mine. The intercooler and intake weren't too bad so we left it alone. We also went easy on the fuel lines and reused them.

After picking up my 2nd Prado a month ago, my intake is apart at the moment after I took the intercooler of to clean the bugs out and looked past the butterfly (doser).
Holy crud! The amount of buildup is ridiculous for a 2009 D4D with 140,000km. It is blocking the elbow past EGR by 30-40%. I am dreading whats in the manifold but can't wait to drive it once clean. I have ordered a Provent 200 catch can. I'll add some pictures later.
I'll be using the same gaskets and fuel lines when reassembling.
It has been religiously serviced by toyota but doubt the rocker cover has ever been off or a tappet adjustment or the injector seals changed.
The between tank fuel filter looked original too....Brook.
