Hi Butane,
the two lower mileage vehicles are Hilux dual cab 4x2 SR5 autos, the one I drive has 265,000k and the other SR5 was mine until 120,000k(Now 300,000k) it was taken over by another manager when I recieved my current Hilux. The other Hilux's are all 4X2 SR Cab chassis V6 Autos with AWLC fibreglass canopys, none have had engine or Autotrans problems but two of the utes have had diff rebuilds (Touch wood)I find the fuel mileage in the Hilux is better than you could expect from the Prado as it only has skinny light truck tyres combined with 2 wheel drive only . I can only comment on my current Hilux and I usually refuel with STD unleaded (Company fuel card will only allow this) with combined highway / suburban driving usually giving around 65 litres for 600 to 630k it has a 75 litre tank. Engine wise just a quick sum they have roughly a combined mileage of 2,785,000k and really all I can think of outside normal servicing we have had one intank fuel pump fail @ 500,000+k & 2 coils fail and a couple of alternator bearings which I find outstanding
we run Castrol oils and were using genuine filters until a switch to ryco about 2 years ago also genuine Toyota coolant. We also have seven VZ Commodore wagons and cannot keep ignition coils and cooling system items up to them
Cheers Rick
