hi,
with my fuel gauge the 90l light is always on.. the gauge does not show
the correct reading...when it goes to half only 25l have been used...
when it is on the 3/4 line 51l have been used...this week I drove it till
light came on and filled up....only 65l have been used...which means I still
had 25l left...I do not know how to fix it....at the moment I rely on the
scangauge....
I also had a starting problem and I found the cause of it by accident....the lpg computer
was draining the battery overnight down to 11.9 volts and if I left it for 2 days the battery
would go flat...fitted a relay and problem solved...
as for the flash lube I have turned it off because at startup was blowing blue smoke...

I think everyone has the dreaded fuel gauge problem.
But not sure about the light. my light does not come on
But a full tank registers only half and i dont think there is a fix for it ?
With the blue smoke i found that every time i had my car serviced at Toyota they would play with the flashlube system and turn it up too high and my car would blow heaps of smoke out the pipe when i started it.
So just go and adjust the drip back to where it is suppose to be
I think it is set somewhere around 9-12 drips per minute.
just remember to get your car up to operating temp first as it runs slower when cold and that will stop the smoke

Is the fuel gauge problem only related to cars on LPG?
What brand of LPG kit are you guys using?
I have the latest Prins kit, and after last weekend 4wdriving, on the way home the gas just shut down and went back to petrol. Nothing was showing on the gauge. I took it back to the gas joint and they had to get Prins in to check and they found out that the ECU had blown up. Changed it on the spot and all good again (no charge).

This is what I did to get my Fuel gauge to work correctly after my LPG conversion. Chances are that doing this will fix your gauge issues.
Petrol Gauge Wiring Modification
1. Cut off wiring from sub tank. Install 50 ohm resistor between brown and yel/black wires and insulate.
2. Join the two white/black wires (next to each other) and insulate.
3. connect the remaining white/black (between the brown and yel/black to ground (earth).
90l light will always be on and fuel gauge works only from front tank.

Yes those instructions are what the gas installer should have followed when they pulled the sub tank out.
Have a look at what they did and see if it matches. The installer who did mine did not follow these instructions and hence my gauge only worked from half to empty. Full tank being half on the gauge and empty being empty. My 90L light never worked after the Gas install either - until I rewired everything according to the above instructions.

I ran an LPG vapour system in my 80series Land Cruiser for 15 years without a hitch, so decided to go LPG on my replacement 120 series Prado 4L V6. My LPG mechanic suggested I look at the LPi (Liquid Injection system by Orbital AutoGas, Sydney) and I have now been running this for 12 months. They have developed systems for the Prado, HiLux and FJ cruiser. Their recommendation was to fit the Flashlube kit to reduce any valve seat recession. I am amazed at the performance from the LPi system - definitely no less than that on petrol. Around town I'm getting 440km from the 82L fill. I haven't yet had a good highway run to get a reliable figure but I'm expecting around 500km. The gas tank replaced the rear sub-tank, so we still have 90L of petrol on board. A 68L gas tank was an option which gave more ground clearance, but most of my driving will be on the black stuff.Last edited by LPG liquid injection; 11-11-2013, 04:24 PM.

So I finally got a chance to change that resistor but could not find a 50 ohm only 47 ohm and 5 watt. After changing it unfortunately did not make a difference. Still the same issues with the guage.

http://bluelpg.com.au/shop/index.php...product_id=216 I would give them a call to confirm first but it would be the simple solutionLast edited by leethal1; 12-02-2014, 10:05 AM.
