Me, more ground clearance. The diff heights, side steps and even mud flaps are all too low. As soon as you bottom out you need to rely on other measures (diff locks, better tyres, etc).

      How about you?
Just to fix the things they didn't get right. Like the ongoing Injector issues!!

Cruise control....cruise control. MY KINDOM FOR A FRIKKEN USABLE CRUISE CONTROL!!!!!!
Cant believe it made it to production to be honest. Love my prado. Had an 80 and a 2010 SR5 and consider the Prado to be a better all rounder than both. Hate, hate, hate the cruise. Wish there was a mod that could be done.

          Yeah, what he said!

I have just done a week up the coast and back and I just can't believe how the bloody cruise control behaves.

As a "driver aid" its a real pain in the arse!

Every bloody hill it has to kick back to third and rev the shit out of itself.

Surely there has to be a download that can sort it out?

With my straight through exhaust and muffler, it will kick back to 2nd, even around the 90 mark. The missus yells at me, and I show her, no hands and no feet, it's the f***ing Prado, it's possessed !!!

How about having a windscreen wiper stalk that you can flick up for a single wipe, even the missus pov Corolla has that 'feature'.

You guys must have a dodgy cruise - mine works perfectly even when towing.

Diesel auto would be a different animal than petrol auto I reckon.

No problem with cruise here, bit hard for it to kick back gears in a 6 speed manual!
2016 1GD GXL 6 speed auto, ARB colour coded summit bar, LED driving lights, duel batteries, BF Goodrich tyres, window tint.

The petrol is a bit different to the diesel by the looks of things. Complained to the service manager and he said, "nothing wrong with it, it's normal." I do put the foot down when overtaking, maybe the computer recognizes a lead-foot is driving.

The cruise being crap has been discussed plenty of times before on this forum, its nothing new, but still a pisser!

So I know the title says one thing, and I started with the cruise control............

But FFS, how hard would it be to have a dip stick on the auto trans in the D4D?

                        Cheers Andrew

I would want a few things changed,
                          1) heated side mirrors, pain in the arse on cold wet Gippsland mornings when you cannot see without wiping them dry first.
                          2) 3000KG towing capacity
                          3) KDSS on the whole Prado range
                          4) 6 speed auto
                          5) more grunt
                          6) interior plastic that is more hard wearing
                          7) opt rear diff lock

I think I am going to address a few of these things in the next 6month or so, I am seriously looking at the Prado`s big brother.
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

God help us if that happens, there is already enough electronic gizmos to pack up in the bush, I would rather less of this stuff than more!

I don't mind electronic wizardry as such. What I object to is when you can't turn it off or do without it when it fails.
