  • What did you do to your 120 today?

Did a search and cant find any existing threads.
This thread lists anything, big or small you did or plan to do on your 120.

    To kick off.
Picked up some Narva USB sockets for the second row seats.
Added to the "To install list..."

    Cheers
    Robert

Thanks for reminding me Robert. I had my two pugs sitting on the shelf for about 10 months and keep forgetting to do these. I remember a thread where Matt did mlc's Grande sometime back. I'll have to revisit the thread to see how the centre console is removed in the Grande to do this mod...

Great photo. What tracks did you do down there?

                Hi Gumboot

Did the tracks leading to Commando and the side track off that. That side track, I had to winch up as I stepped into a very large washout. I think the left seat alarm screamed when we looked like going over. We also did Morbid, and a few others. Can't remember the names.

While we were at Commando, a call came over the radio asking if anyone was near Army? track. A Patrol took the wrong line downhill and came to rest on his roof. The club we were travelling with did the rescue and got it upright again. When they skull dragged it up the owner got in, turned the key. Guess what, the Patrol started and ran. The cops told him to get it back to Coffs and no further. Turns out the young bloke only just bought it and had not got around to insuring it. Tough luck.

We will be going back down there again as we only just scratched the surface of the tracks available.

I got the shock of my life after being told today that I cannot add bars/winches Roof-racks etc. to my Grande because it will totally upset the suspension.
ARB simply would not sell and fit anything I wanted!!
It was even on there computer screen... the guy showed me the specs for a Prado and it says "excludes Grandes" do not fit!
Hows that for my 8th day of owning a Prado Grande!!

YMUS, I have seen heaps of grande's with winches n bullbars. The only issue I could see with roof rack is if it's not high enough then when you tilt the sunroof it may hit but I'm sure I've seen rack before on one. You sure he had write vehicle up on screen ?? Sounds like a crock of shit. I may be wrong but can't see how it would affect the suspension except maybe needing heavier duty springs up front to help with the weight and the rear is self levelling ??? Seems strange to me.... Cheers Steve
