    Mystery Air vent / intake?

    G'day,... It has bugged for a while and I am blown if I can find out what it is,...'08 GXL (120),...under the front passenger seat is a vent or intake,.. yet there is no matching one under the drivers seat....... what is it??? i thought it was an outlet for feet air,.. but there should be one under the drivers seat too maybe???

    It's definitely a rear feet vent off the the air con / heater system, can't say that I have ever checked the drivers side to see if it has one, and it's too bloody cold to go out now and look

      Thought I might have had a view of the RHS in that pic, but unfortunately not, still too cold outside

        Ok I just braved the cold and can confirm the same setup is on the drivers side.

          Most likely for heat for the rear passengers.

            With rear aircon does the hot air come out of the roof vents or under the seat? And what about the third row? Is there a vent in the wheel arch area?

              Thats a great pic Andrew thanks,.... thats exactly what my passenger side vent looks like,.. but I don't have one under the drivers seat?,...... could Toyota have missed installing it ?????,...

                I had removed the carpet when that pic was taken to dry it out picture was taken at Cape York.

                I have one under both seats. I highly doubt that it could have been missed during manufacture, more likely damaged or removed somewhere along the way.

                  Can't thank you enough for confirming the drivers side vent.... Now off to a wreckers to source one. Can't have my 120 not being complete now
