    Good evening all,
Was interested in whether anyone has had any luck in using techstream on a 1KZ -TE, i have downloaded the program and have it all working.
The problem is when i connect to the vehicle it keeps coming up saying that it cant find the vehicle ecu.
    has me stumped.
    Car is a 2005 1KZ grande.

It works fine for me, 12/2004 model. You're trying to connect with the ignition on?

      Thanks Adrian,
i think it may be the cable i used, i used the obd cable from truck diagnostic kit.
I have ordered the techstream cable off ebay.

I have a Sept 2004 (4 speed) and was of the understanding that it was pre standardisation of communication protocols (obd-11 ?) so most current products available dont work on the older Aus models. Is this product the exception?
Would be great if it works for the older models
        Thanks

You'll need a techstream compatible or knock off cable, should work for all models whether its on OBD or M-OBD protocol.

EddieF - yes works on the earlier 120's too. I have both Techstream and Torque working on my 03 model. Some functionality is limited, but allows me to read codes and clear them which is all I wanted.
