Ive been told the later model 80 series will fit, however I would do some measuring to be sure, just incase this person was telling me lies.

Got mine today and it looks authentic and wrapped in Toyota branded plastic etc. The seller is genuine and has his own 4wd mechanical and wrecking business on the Central Coast. Delivery was super quick. No affiliation, just a very happy customer.

Later on he advised that Tojo inc Aust will warrantee these items...

I had the same problem, along with the usual clunks and rattles that are part of 'normal service wear'.

I figured that as my 6 yr expensivended warrantee was still in force I wanted it replaced FOC.

Move forward a couple of letters of demand and finally a new one...free under warrantee from Mr T.

Add this to the steering wheel and I have achieved equilibrium of cost to benefit not factoring cost of working capital......

Also found that (interim measure) of placing tacky vibration limiting rubber shim worked for while (2 months). Tricky to fit as slipped into place between two stainless shims and then withdraw stainless...I had a helluva lot of spare time on my hands that weekend.

Happy days now, only the stuff I couldn't get fixed to finalise.

Does the GXL visor come with a light in built the mirror? I have a floppy grande visor. Can easily be fixed and fitted? I am thinking >$300 for a new one is a bit high. If someone can rip apart their old visor to see how it works, it may help in future repairs... Otherwise I will just opt for the $75 one of ebay I assume it is just a standard visor no light.

Hi Guys...
I'm a bit surprised to hear that you were quoted $320.00 for a new one GXL05,
I got mine from Nowra Toyota for only (huh :? only ??) $120.00, and I thought that was expensive.

....Just my two bobs worth....

Loose Sunvisor

I have a loose drivers side sunvisor in the 120 and it drives me absolutely nuts . I've tried using a bit of velcro to hold it to the roof lining, but doesnt seem to work all that well. The visor doesnt bother the missus (vertically challenged) as she can see under it. It drops just far enough so that it sits approx 90 degrees to the roof, right in line with your vision.

For the life of me, I cannot find any screws to adjust or tighten the bloody thing up.

Yeah I've discovered this too! If it's common why isn't it mentioned in the reviews? I would think it a reasonable seeings though it interferes with the drivers field of vision

Can any of you tell me how to get the old one off? It looks like a slotted cover that may need to be taken off, because I can't see any screws.

AT LAST!! Fixed mine today.
I was at the wreckers picking up a bonnet catch support bracket. (Mine cracked due to Anne Beadell Track)
Just happened that the 120 I got it from had a tight sunvisor.
Screw driver under the plastic cover-undid two screws and it was mine for $35- bucks!
All sweet!!

I can now see the road ahead- Scary!
