Inputting video into Toyota SatNav 26028

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am at this stage right now.

Are any of these adapter cables available anywhere?

Failing that, anyone know which plugs they are. I have the service manual so I can find a lot of the plugs and part numbers, but the blue plug for the video input and the grey plug for constant video display are eluding me completly.

I got it from some Japanese store on Rakuten Global Market. I was actually amazed I got it! Even received a two page invoice written entirely in Jap!

The resister value on the blue 6 pin plug(AUX PLUG) should be changed to 1k ohm. This will activat the video input when the Disc/Aux Button is pressed.

The video signal input on the blue 6 pin plug(AUX PLUG) is in the Top right position if you are looking at the back of the plug (missing pin), and the video Sheild(GND) should be connected to the pin below (bottom right).

Don't forget to earth the red wire with a stripe to get video.

First of all thanks for all info you have provided regarding Toyota SatNav 26028 Video input, it was very helpful.
I know it's very old topic, but maybe you remember to which wire of BLUE AUX PLUG I need to connect 1K ohm resistor. I just bought a AUX/Video wire from Rakuten.jp and that one have no resistor at all.

I found that when you dont have the video player attached when you power on the car, the video input is not "detected" by the headunit, and you cant just plug it in after power on...

Try plugging your video playback device in before turning on the car and see if that works.

Hi blw,

Thanks for advising. You right, for me it worked, but sadly just on first time. I connected the ipod to rca audio and left video cable not connected and it worked. Head unit recognized it as video cable. But after disconnecting all harness before putting head unit back to it’s place aux disappeared. I have tried to disconnect head unit from battery tried to connect rca + video did error check and nothing.

ok, well try a proper video playback device... it worked everytime for me, I had a Western Digital TV video player back then, there are likely to be hundred of solid state and hard drive players around since then...
