  • Which aftermarket Horn for Upgrade?

I want to change the factory fitted horn, in which I've visited my parents rural property a few times; and the Roos and cattle laugh at me when I tell them I'm coming.
The commodore horn is a perfect offset tone, which I wouldn't mind using. Am I going to have issues with power supply; fuses; mounting location, if I change to a different set up?

    Thanks.

    Pharaoh,

Google Stebel Nautilus. The roos and cattle will have bleeding ears once you fit one of these suckers.

It should fit where the standard "beetle-fart" fits.

Fitting of after market horns has been covered before, has all the info you'll need to know.

Try the trolling through the accessories and electrical.

On my Suzuki Sierra I used to have BMW electric horns - they sounded good and were loud. I think they were off a 90's BMW, not sure of exact model as I picked them up from a wrecker.

After reading this thread I got the Stebel nautilus compact truck horn, along with a wiring kit. Very easy to install with the wiring kit. I am a bit disappointed with the pitch and volume of it. It's not as low in pitch as I thought it would be, and not as loud. Still a big upgrade to the standard horns though. I replaced the 'high' pitched standard horn, and left the 'low' pitched standard horn in.

I bought a set of these Bosch horns for $30 of ebay, much better sound but I had to relocate them to fit the transmission cooler.
