I think I will be able to help you out when the time arrives

Enjoy the cape, I know you will as its almost impossible not to.

I even gave the cup head bolts a quick spray with some black enamel paint so they aren't so noticeable any more.
Bourkey, I am the latest recipient of an AJ120 Custom Rear. Do you or Ghost have a Mud flap parts list? I have the rubber already, but need to know bolt sizes, drill hole sizes, bolt count and length of each type of Flexi and Unistrut.

      Thank you in advance.

Hey mlc welcome to the club,

        The parts I used were:-

16x m8 x 30mm high tensile nuts and bolts brought in a bolt packs from bunnings
        1x 30mmx30mm x 2.5mm x 900mm gal angle
        1x 20mmx 2.5mm x 900 gal flat bar

I cut both gal angle and flat bar to 300mm to match the width of the rubber I had.

With the flat bar at the top I had to bend it into a dog leg to clear the body work. Will try and take some close up pics in the daylight to give you an idea, aswel as some bolt hole distances.

        • Hey AJ,
what are your recommendations around using weight distribution hitches with your bar?
It looks considerably more solid than a HR towbar with the additional chassy mount so I dont think it would be a problem, but just wanted to hear your view or the view of others who are using this combo?

What I think and what I can say are probably 2 different things. I haven't had the bar tested with a WDH and therefore cant give any guarantee as to its performance. However the short version of the many pages of engineering stats, facts and figures I got from the testing is that it "passed easily".

Also having looked at a HR 120 towbar I cant see how they would be any stronger than mine and they are fine with a WDH, but as I said I don't have the engineering report to back that up.

            Cheers Andrew

              • Hi AJ120,
Any change that this bar could be modified, somehow modify, to accommodate a back winch?
                Cheers

I doubt it could be "modified" for that, it would need to be a complete new design, even then not sure how you would mount a winch to a rear bar without having a massive amount of overhand or some major chassis modifications.

There is a decent amount of space between the rear crossmember and the fuel tank, that's where I would look at mounting a winch if I ever went that way.

                  Cheers Andrew

I will start to look into it, I have plenty of time at before 2020 :-).

                          • Hi Cookie, sorry for the slow reply but I have been out in the desert for a couple of weeks and off the grid

I just drilled and tapped into the bottom of the main bar to mount Trailer Plug and Anderson plugs.

I will try and grab some photos tomorrow when its lighter.

                            Cheers Andrew
