Tech day anyone! I need help to fit as I dont have the gear... hahah.. beers could be on me for sure if someone willing
That's not a bad price... Best of all is that if you have ANY issues what so ever with it, you can drive straight back into their workshop and get them to sort it! I'm a mechanic/fitter by trade and I paid a little extra to have our susp installed and I'm glad I did as I had a warranty concern and all the labour etc was all taken care of without me having to lift a finger... (different brand susp)

Not sure if you are North or South Golly, but swing in and talk to Aaron at Coastal 4x4 and tell him I sent ya... I noticed that they supply and install IRONMAN now... Tell him you're price and see what he can do!

We fitted up my Ironman suspension yesterday. Something just doesnt feel right.

My measurements are as follows (sorry I never took a post lift measurement...)

          LHF: 820mm
          RHF: 825mm
          LHR: 820mm
          RHR: 820mm

Now after looking at everyone elses measurements mine seems quite odd.

The only weight I have at the front is the Sovereign Bull Bar.

In the Ironman kit there was a 15mm spacer which sits under the spring base on the strut for the fronts only. My question is, should I have not fitted the spacer? Is the spacer meant for guys who have heavier loads on the front end only? My other issue is that when I take off, the rear squats heavily and the front wheels look as though they're going to lift off the ground! Is that normal? I was thinking some airbags would sort this out? Will they help?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hey guys just installed my lift kit with the spacer in. Has come up big time in the front just like this. Did yours end up settling Oscar or did you end up taking out the spacers? Nigel

I am not 100% sure but I thought the spacer was to be fitted when installing struts on the new hilux?? Pretty sure they share the same part numbers. I fitted mine without the spacer and happy with how ballanced (level) the truck is.

Ok. Yeah the guys who put it in just basically followed instructions that state if a bullbar is fitted, fit the spacers to allow for the settle after a bit with the weight. But this definitely looks unbalanced. I'm getting 70 series tyres fitted in a few days. Might wait a week and if it still bothers me I guess I'll get them taken out. The back looks perfect but the front looks that 10 mm too high.

My spacers were installed with foam filled shocks and 900lbs springs...plus front bar...winch....recovery points....bash plates through to gear box.....

My rig is a 120....it looks good. .cant see it unbalanced...should it be obvious?

Yeah I think the sov bar alone may not be enough weight to warrant the spacers. Might have to get mine taken out.

Update: I also have dual batteries....so maybe due to a full fitout up front...mine sits right?

                            Hey Nigel.
I bought that car off Oscar in Sydney.
The spacers were NOT in the struts when i bought it.
The car was very level but i have since put billies in.
My car seems to attract owners that are in PP.

Yeah thought so thanks for that. Took mine for a run down the beach and felt the front top out over a few dips and speed humps. So think mine gotta go. I'll put em back in after if needed thanks guys for your input. Cheers Nigel

Yes its a steel bar...I think with all my gear on the front it sits right....if you dont have a full kit out up front...then maybe dont include the spacer...
