  • Sometime ago when I was looking into suspension lift from ARB. The salesman made it very clear that the lift is merely a by-product of upgrading the suspension.

In other words, order a suspension kit for the desired suspension qualities and as an aside, enjoy any lift that you get out of it .

There is another product that has piqued my curiosity that will give an adjustable lift. Along with the 8-pages you've already reviewed, you might also find this thread useful: Airbag Man Air Suspension.

    Research is never ending .

    Cheers,
    LFaR.

    • Ok, this thread is all very interesting. Excuse me while I go hide my credit card from myself. I live but 5 minutes from the Osborne Park ARB in Perth and of course I was there today booking in for ARB's dual battery set up to be fitted next weekend. I nearly fell over when they said the workshop does jobs on Saturdays! "Book me in" I said.

As an aside, purely for reference and research purposes, I asked about their suspension upgrades. $1668.80 fitted. Thats for ...

      • 4 coils
      • 2 struts
      • 2 Nitrocharger Shocks
      Medium, 150kgs - 400kgs & constant 400kgs loads.
      • Wheel alignment and brake test.

However, they said the OME kits will be going up in price the first week in August. :? No Idea as yet what the new prices will be. So I'll have to wait and see what the damage will be. No way I can afford it right on top of the dual batt setup. Sigh.

            • Well I ordered my OME suspension today, hopefully I get the same sort of lift you guys have been getting.
I ended up going with OME884's and N140S on the front and OME896 and N142 on the rear so I will now have to wait till they arrive.

For I suspect Chippy but anyone that tows a camper trailer, how much drop do you get with the trailer hooked up. I don't plan to use poly airbags but will if I have to. I am only towing a light offroad camper.
              Cheers

              • I went the HD in the rear .... and can quite happily tow the 1400 Kg of CT without any dramas. Its just when I load the car up as well that I like having that extra touch of firmness from the Polyairs.

                Cheers

                  • Only 2 more days until my suspension goes in. I now have all the bits sitting in the back of the prado waiting patiently. If only their owner could also wait patiently. It is killing me

                    • All done now I ended up with 60mm all the way around. I am guessing I will end up with 50mm when it has settled. It rides so much better now. Can't wait to get it off road again.

                          • Its just the way the [img]and[/img] tags are wrapped around the pics.

Under each of your pics, in Photobucket, is 4 lines of code. The fourth one down is the [img] code ...... use this one as it is all automatic.

Copy the code by clicking in that box, paste it into your message ... and you have a picture.

                            Cheers
