G'day PP.
I have been battling with this for a while now and I am getting sick to death of it, first off, a little info on the car:
2009 KDJ120, 165,000kms, hardly been used off road, more a daily driver, I bought it off the old man in law about a year ago.
The problem has remained with the car since I bought it.
I get light and rapid steering oscillations between 85-100km/h, on and off but definitely more on than off, accelerate up past 100 and they almost vanish.
The steering wheel is obviously oscillating but it can very lightly be felt through the car also.

Things I tried:
- each tyre rotated with spare
- ceramic balancing beads installed
- 4000klm done on tyres
- new tyres fitted
- 2 inch lift kit done, all joints/bearings seem OK
- in that order
It feels like an unbalanced wheel but I believe I have eliminated the wheels/tyres from the equation, I would still like to try a 'known good' set of wheels whenever I get the chance though to fully eliminate them.
I'm at the point where I am ready to just start replacing stuff and see what happens but I don't really know where to start?
I am thinking of putting a new set of wheel bearings through straight up as they don't look like a mission to do?
Other than that, new CVs? Could it even be something on the back wheels??
I am a skilled enough mechanic, have done an engine swap, diff rebuilds and transfer case overhauls, etc so I don't mind getting my hands dirty
Open to any and all suggestions!

At this point, the car is dead stock.
When I first noticed the oscillations, I rotated every tyre around with the spare one by one to see if the issue was related to any particular wheel, did not notice any change.
I went to my tyre guy and had ABC ceramic balancing beads fitted, a product I had had very good success with on my previous cars.
I did not notice any change after they were fitted.
I then took the car on a 4000km trip (pre-planned, didn't have time to fix the issue, just the way things had to go) not long after buying it during which I would sometimes get violent oscillations around 80km/h.
After getting home, I spoke to my usual tyre guy about the issue and he ran his hand around my old(ish) tyres and told me they've worn unevenly and need replacing, I was looking for an excuse for new tyres so I just went for it anyway.
So a new set of 265/70R17 KO2s were fitted and the balancing beads transferred across.
The problem seemed to go away for a good couple of months but then gradually returned, albeit about half of the severity.
I then fitted a 2 inch lift, Tough dog shocks and king springs, during the install I paid very close attention to bearings, axles and ball joints looking for all the usual suspects but found nothing out of the ordinary.
Again, after the lift I noticed no change.
And that brings us to today!
