Yeah, rather than annoy everyone else with the banter we tend to rabbit on like a CWA meeting on PM.

If anyone wants the detail posted here - and Matt doesn't still have a copy - I'll whip off another set. It's just a boring set of text instructions 'cause it pissed down the whole day and my camera didn't like getting rained on and stopped working. I don't mind sharing but I like pics more .. and I was a bit pissed off that I didn't have any. ops:

        Cheers

Beautiful job Matt. Sheesh pics make big difference.

... and being REPORT NIGHT I figured I would add another one ...

Drew hole? Is that why I've been walking funny?

            Well done Matt.

BTW, don't forget to put some electrical tape on around the ends of the split tubing, I never trust it to stay on of it's own accord.

Love the merit certificate, Chipp. It's almost a bit tragic, my wife is a teacher.

Well done Matt. Adds well to Drews pics and install notes.
Makes me feel guilty having after having paid to get them fitted ops: ops:

Took Moo out over the wekeend and the Poly Airs have pretty well stopped the sag in Angus' bum when Moo's hitched on (keep ya mind clean boys)
Angus sagged nearly 30mm without the Poly Airs so I'm happy.

                  Matt, your the man.

Your pictures just saved me a couple of hours in not having to pull the rear coils to take a look at the top mount.

                  Thanks mate

The middle hole, in the picture below, is the 13mm hole that the airline passes through and it fits quite nicely - even with split tube over the airline.

The instructions, that come with the polyairs, say that this hole needs to be enlarged with a 40 mm hole saw.

For starters - even with a 40 mm hole saw I couldn't get it to start without a pilot bit that was a fairly snug fit in the existing hole ... and I don't have a hole saw with a 13 mm pilot bit. There's also a bit of body pressing hiding up behind that plate so the pilot bit would have to be set fairly shallow or you would punch a hole through it.

The airlines fit and the polyairs work fine - without enlarging this hole - but I'm still curious - does anyone have any better ideas on how to do this ?

                    Cheers

                      Chippy,

I concluded that this was a waste of time. I think they might have copy/pasted some instructions from another vehicle. Just my 2c.

                        Hey Drew

I read your notes and assumed the same thing - that and the fact that your notes made more sense - I also passed the same info on to Matt for his fit up.

Still - If ya never ask ... ya never get.

                        Cheers

                          Nice job and photos Matt.
Just a small point you should be able to remove rear springs by undoing
14mm sway bar connecting bolt. Dropping bottom shock mount bolt and using longer jack stands. (place normal jack stands on some bits of 4 b 4. or some sort of safe platform) Lower the diff down and the springs will fall out, just watch that you don't go too far and damage the brake lines.I would hate to here of some one hurting themselves by placing jacks in between diff and chassis.
Might have to fit them to my prado as they don't take much load to sag in the rear. I have 2 fridges in the back, beer and other drinks for 4 weeks
boat on the back.... and 4 lights pointing in the air
                          Cheers Phil.

'The appropriate kit for a lifted 120 has part number 12995, and are the same price as the standard kit, part number 12895.' I assume this is a genuine PolyAir part number.

A mate of mine got a set of 'Air Lift 1000 Air Spring Kit'
for his Cruiser, $70 a set plus a bit of freight delivered to his door from the States (from memory about $40 to $50). This is the link.

                            http://www.centuryperformance.com/detai ... =ARL-60728

I was wondering what the equivalent set for the 120 would be (as in part number). Any ideas? Mate reckons the 120 is sold as a Lexus in the States??

The part numbers I quoted are the Polyair numbers.

The 120 is kind of sold in the states as a Lexus GX. See http://www.lexus.com/models/GX/ It's a different spec though with a V8 engine and a slightly different body. The FJ Cruiser and the 4Runner also share similar components to the 120. See http://www.toyota120.com/
