Alas this is correct Stan, as Bridgestone Australia - Salisbury Plant Is no longer.
This is where the passenger series D694's were produced in Australia. I lifted the tyre moulding machinery into position when
these tyres started production. The factory is now like a ghost town, every thing is either being Sold, Exported or Scrapped.

With proper pressure monitoring and regular wheel rotation (5000km) these tyres will give you good A/T service life.

bob jane at lawnton in brissy have the lt 265/65/17 for 299 fitted and balanced and there are 5 there

G’Day fellow Prado Pointer’s, I have been a long time viewer of the forum and this is my first post. :lol:

I have finally decided to replace my AT20’s and through no small part, this forum has helped me decide on the D694LT’s (thanks to all those who members who take the time to post their findings – it is/was a great help). Therefore, after some ringing around, I found that Bob Jane (Taren Point) can do my D694’s (LT265/65/17) for $289 fitted and balanced.

Well I got the new rubber put on tuesday and headed to double island on wednesday to test them out and all I can say is I hope first impressions last cause I am over the moon with them

Which Jax in Brisbane was that? I see Bridgestone have a deal on with a Coles Myer gift card up to $100 depending what 4 tyres you buy. Would be $70 for the 265/65/17. Ends 13th November. $280 seems good. Lowest I've seen and I'm keen to get a set too.

I got my tyres wholesale through a mate and can tell you that 280 is a very good price and there isnt much left in it for that.

jaxx at aspley, was quoted the price over the phone no haggling! bridgestone is outa stock in brisbane, so there going on the following tuesday. the jax guys never mentioned anything bout a gift card, i'll quizz them, cheers.

got 5 of them fitted today, and the voucher, today is also last day for voucher!!!!!!
spare tyre cover fits, just, better off leaving off though i reakon. havent "searched" but are people using spacers with the 265 65 R17's aswell?
