      Siva,
I have put approx 2000k so far on my BFG 265/65/17 AT's and went through so rain on the weekend on the sunshine coast and the grip in the wet seem very good, no concern for me there as for noise I was expecting worse than they are so I am very happy.
I have the 265/70/17 BFG AT that have done about 50K, and still hold on well great in the wet. They have held up well across all roads, including gravel, been thru Karijini iron ore rds etc, down South WAbeaches, Limestone & Granite beach access tracks and no concerns at all.
So shouldnt have any dramas with hwy in wet
      Cheers

Have put a set on replacing those things that come standsrd on the vehicle. Soft as you know what. Am so much happier with the new treads. Went for the LT construction ones and apart from the ride being a bit stiffer, what do you suspect now the walls don't buldge out, they are so much better in all the conditiions I have had to drive in. Best decision I have made for a long time.

Good to hear that it's best decision. Mate got some fitted to his Prado 3 days back (he's really happy ... so far, not much testing) and I've ordered my set ready for trip up the Cape. Both of us went the LT construction too.

  With the amount of rain here lately should have gone for Muddys but yes we know what a tyre is and appreciate a good one at that and that is why I am so happy with these tyres I can not stop talking about them.

I have 2 Prados and 1 camper trailer all shod with the BFGs.

They probably aren't the longest wearing tyre out there but I want and need a dependable tyre that will take me through most conditions and so far, after 3 sets, the BFGs have done it for me.

I tend to play rough and the tyres show that and even after 10,000km there are lots of cuts and little chunks missing off the tread.

My brother-in-law managed nearly 110,000km from a set of Michelins on his Disco and was quite proud of that. I pointed out to him that at 60,000km his tyres were looking pretty sad, mostly from his missus using the car as a taxi and flying across Sydney twice a day. His tyres always looked underinflated. AT 80,000 they were definitely not roadworthy. We planned a trip to the Cape in mid 2006 and he said he would RV with me in Townsville where he would fit a set of new rubber for our journey.

There was not a bit of tread left on any of the tyres and all had visible steel belts showing. That's city driving for you. For me, my car spends about half of it's life in the bush on very minor gravel roads and un-maintained tracks. So if I get 40,000 - 50,000km I'll be more than happy. My work Rodeo has a similar life and 2.5 sets of Bridgestone 294 after 60,000km.

When I picked up my Prado new from the dealer I toook it straight down to the tyre shop and traded in the factory fitted tyres for BFG AT 265/70 in LT construction.

The upgrade cost me about $950 ( from memory) for the 5 wheels, but well worth it. I was taking the car on a big trip shortly after.
For those getting a new car consider this option - ring around a few tyre places and pre arrange the trade in/swap before you pick up the car.

The BFG AT performed well on 13,000 km of desert and highway roads. I had two minor punctures. Easily fixed.

Look at getting one of those Safety Seal plug kits too - they are magic.
                    Cheers, Wayne

Good advice ozwapet2. I've just bought a brand new set of BFG's cause I'm going up the Cape York in 3 weeks. I'm selling the set of 4 Maxxis Bravo A/T (plus a spare GrandTrek) that have only done ~13000 klm (still in good condition) if anyone interested? Should have gone the option of the trade-in I think!

Will be trialling the BFGs at Levuka this weekend.

Note to self: Now that Prado kitted up, need to update my photo.

they do make it look like a proper 4WD don't they.
I prefer the white lettering on the inside but that's just personal taste.

It was time for new rubber, the grandtracks were spent at 67ks. Did lots of research both on the net and personal and came up with BFG as the best all round tyre. Now have five new ones with the lettering showing. Quite and grips the road well.

                                Hutch,
                                I run both the D694'S and the BFG'S .
I bought the BFG's prior to heading off to the GTG and put over 12000 km's on them over some of the roughest roads/tracks I've ever seen and they performed flawlessly, with only minor cuts and chips to the tread.
Initially I didn't notice them to be any more noisier than the 694'S or the ride to be any rougher but I did notice that they were starting to get a bit of a hum up on some road surfaces.
Had no problems with handling also and I tend to push them a bit travelling to and from work, driving through the National Park.
I've just put the 694's back on last week and my fuel consumption has dropped back by maybe 3-4 ltrs per 100, according to the Scanguage.
Once I get a bit more cash together I'll be buying a set of steelies to go with them for the off road stuff.
                                Cheers,
                                Dobbo
