The wiring for bullbar lights? the only lights on a 150 bullbar are lights which are already present on the standard bumper?
possibly indicators which would be wired from the headlights? I think the person who told you this at TJM is on crack...

As explained to me, the wiring for bullbar clashes with wiring of some non-Toyota tow bars. I was told that if I use the genuine tow bar, I would not have a problem fitting a non-genuine bull bar. Even though at opposite ends, they are all connected to the vehicle's main electrical system.

(In affect, TJM did themselves out of the towbar sale cos I went genuine.)

We spoke to local TJM outlet and were told to be careful when using after market tow bars because they are not necessarily compatible with after market bullbars.

i'd be careful about using towbar as bike carrier. the load on the ball can multiply when going over bumps etc as the bike arm flexes and can cause serious damage. if this happens, damage will not be covered by warranty.

I will have to check with HR again on the price as they manufacture the towbars for their own brand and Toyota here in Brisbane. Would expect a better price then what I was quoted.....

No bull bar going on just yet either...

It sits so low its probably the main cause of bottoming out and hang ups. I went the HR because of that and remove the tongue when going offroad, $595 from Southern Towbars Adelaide fitted.

We have had looked in to the Arana Towbar which is a heavy duty and does not require a the bumper to be cut out and comes fitted with wiring loom for $595 and also the Haymen Reese for $795 fitted.

If anyone has any advise or opinions on which ones to look at, that would be great....

They said that if you use the factory tow bar, it is compatible with after market bull bars.
Their price for after market tow bar was actually a couple of hundred dearer than Toyota's due to having to buy genuine looms for the wiring of tow bar, to work with an after market bull bar. (We are looking at ECB bar).

Allintowbars in Adelaide will set up you up for under $400 or with a HR for $500 fitted, both are identical designs, allintowbars will also freight interstate and get a price to fit it, but it's easy done yourself.
