They didn't it was the 120 bar that happened to fit the 150.

D4D yeah that is my understanding. The latest part number is definitely T02910RW.

I'm still curious what the specific changes were on the latest version (T02910RW ) if anyone knows?

Also, I know the HR wiring kit addresses disabling the rear park distance system, BUT, does it also talk to the other vehicle computers to let the vehicle stability control system know you are towing a trailer which I understand the genuine Toyota loom does?

    Kowolski,

ARB received the letter giving the part #T02910RW as the new HR HD towbar to fit, the old one was T02872RW

Thanks for that. Yeah I think that change happened some months ago, but there's been a more recent change to the HR bill of materials that necessitated a new part number for the 150 bar. What I'm chasing is what changed in the bill of materials? ARB were issued an internal letter late June telling branches of the change and informing staff to sell out all the old part number bars before ordering the new part number bars. Anyone have any idea?

Just got a Hayman Reese towbar fitted on my 150 Altitude in Adelaide. Done by Southern Towbars. An excellent job, and quick and reliable service, even talked me through the electrics afterwards. I had afree loan car also while they carried out the work.
They installed the new version of the 150 towbar also Model # 02910RW, which I have confirmed with Hayman Reese is the correct one.
Cost $675 installed including tow bar, tow ball, and wiring.

See my build up page for picture of before and after shots
