Have a go at putting it on yourself, not that hard just take your time. I installed my ARB deluxe winch bar today, had never installed a bar before and found it pretty smooth sailing.

Hi ak, the deciding factor for me was the lines of the TJM and also the fog lights. I'm not a fan of non colour coded plastic infills on the arb.Originally posted by AK7 View PostActually having a closer look at both the Sahara and T3 pics again... AK I was in the same boat and actually had the Sahara bar on the spec list. Then I saw Alberto's pics and it was all over. Next week I will post pics of a Blue Storm T3 with Britax X-ray 220s.

Looks colour coded, can you confirm? Did you consider black? I'd just decided on the ARB Sahara, and now I see that TJM have the T3... Damn choices... *&%#ing free marketOriginally posted by The Alberto View PostHere's one for all the Graphite owners. There really is not many pics around of the TJM T3 bar. This has Hella Rallye 4000s fitted as well.
Pretty sure I'll go the T3 actually. Althought I like the look of the Sahara better, I'm not prepared to trust the local ARB mob with my car.

Thanks mate, I am really happy with how it turned out. Hopefully these pics will help others with their decisions. When I was looking, apart from the promo pics of the silver one on the first page of this thread I could not find anything. Went close to ordering either the TJM T13 or the ARB Sahara for these reasons, however after seeing it in the real I am glad I didn't.Originally posted by jayden82 View Posthey alberto, sweet looking bar mate!

i was very tempted to go T3 for those reasons.
did they bumper cut? i see you have black plastic ribbing/piping.

Yeah mate, definately a bumper cut I made sure that is what they were going to do before I ordered it. Heard too many bad things about the wing inserts.

I chose Silver Ash colour - a brighter silver than the wheel by a couple of shades and less grey. would be a closer match to the wheels with some more grey in it. despite this it will look good regardless. I think my colour combo is great particulalrly when covered in dust! cheers

I suppose it would look best to try and colour match the rims, so as not to introduce another colour to the mix, within reason. Can anyone really help here? The photos kindly provided by bfranzen don't show a side on pic without shadows but it appears the colour he chose is a little bit more grey than the silver rims.
My phone call suggested this is a $2600 exercise. $2250 for bar, $220 to paint and $120 for new fog lights.
Some questions:
1. Are the fog/driving lights any good? Would be be better to source my own?
2. Will ARB fit LED lights I supply to their bar at fitment?
3. Are they negotiable on price? If so, I should buy other gear with it and try and cut a better deal?
I'm going to place my order next week, to ensure it's ready for my Prado delivery around end of Jan.

The plastic infill I have seems to be quite thick and has a bit of texture in the plastic so I can see how painting it might be an issue.

TJM recommend doing the bumper cut rather than using infill panels for two reasons. First, the bumper cut is a more solid setup. Second, there have been issues with the plastic used for the infills which has resulted in painting and deformation issues.
If your car was fitted with headlight washers, the only option is to go with the infill panels (i suppose you could also pay to get a bumper from a GX or GXL and cut that). A bumper cut actually runs across where the washers are mounted. The infills relocate the washers a little higher up.

Hey fido, lookin good!Originally posted by fido666 View PostHere's a pic of a black TJM T13 Outback bar on my silver pearl 150 Kakadu. Mine's a bit different to all the others I have seen, note the black infill between bodywork and bar. I'm not sure why it is this way as it was like that when I bought it but I do have the headlight washer option intact, not sure if the original infill would have retained them or been lost with the cutting required to fit the bar.

Cheers
PS I got my plastic infill from TJM. Thanks
