Mine is the 1928mm X 1236mm.
It comes up half way accross the sunroof, although this isnt an issue as i dont use it. It doesnt go over the rear spoiler thingy either.
After reading through a few of these roof platform threads I purchased the #42107B platform with mounting legs(Rhino combo part #JA5679). Its the 2128mm x 1236 wide. I went with the longest recommended platform for the Prado to one day fit a rooftop tent and still allow enough length for an extra spare. Fitted it easily at home with just a mate helping me to lift it into position.
Wind noise at freeway speeds are slightly noticeable but I dont find it an issue for a diesel 4WD.
Awesome! Thanks for posting pics. I'm looking at the same length trade tray. Can't quite see if it extends over the top of the "spoiler/foil" thingy on the rear door... Can you confirm pls? I'm hoping it does
is there much difference with the wind noise/ resistance between the 2 types of platforms?
flat platform versus tray top
i am considering swapping mine over to just the platform
at the moment it is just holding the awnings & shovel & maxtrax, but they all hang off the side
I just switched over from the tray to the platform. It does seem quieter. It was very noisy before with the lightbar hanging off the front of it. Now I have it bolted direct to the platform.
I got the shorter one to save weight on the roof. The platform, lightbar, awning, maxtrax, shovel and rear lights are 60kg all up. We can only have 100kg on the roof. I can still fit another spare on there or our swags.

Your tyre will take up 800mm or so of room on the front of the tray. If your tent is 1400mm long then that's 2200mm. So you would need the same tray that YMUS bought.

I have sympathy with you on which one to fit... I finally, after a LOT of research and talking with a lot of peeps went to TJM the guys who told me about a 42107 - 2.2 X 1.296 (cane with a roof kit and I cannot remember the number) they removed my rails and fitted it to the roof... VERY pleased with the job as I can fit my RTT and spare etc. when needed - Just another option http://postimg.org/image/a17lo3quj/ http://postimg.org/image/q9ntxkzor/
Hope it helps

x2 Would love to see a side on photo that shows the front and rear overhang of the 2200mm platform....... please.
Is there anyone on here that has fitted a rooftop tent onto these Rhino platforms? Any photos too?
Is there enough room to fit a 1400mm roof tent and a spare tyre on the 19xxmm platform?
Hey ymus, any chance of a side on pic showing how long it is on the roof?
I am also considering this rack or possibly the 42104B, which is massive at 2128x1426, just for the width as I'm hoping to fit a roof top tent with shovel/high lift on one side and awning on other side. Just wondering what people's opinions are on this? I probably won't leave the rack on all the time, just put it on when needed.

I have been racking (pardon the pun) my brains for weeks on which choice to make. I spoke to a Rhino rep and mentioned I probably don't want to remove the factory rails and I won't keep the platform on all the time due to garage issues. He had the same issue on his rep vehicle and said he has pulled his off and on heaps and it is not that big a drama.
On the Rhino site if I put in 120 series 5 door it only gives me JA0084 (1528 x 1236) or JA0092 (1928 x 1236).
Does the 44102B fit my car or is it the same as the JA0092 (Specific to 120)?
As someone mentioned the RV5 and I now have one of them which is 1900 long so I am leaning towards the 1928 so I can put a canvas bag up there for tent and sleeping gear on trips.
Currently I have only the roof rails but want to keep them so any advice welcomed on which one etc.
definitely buy the longer one. I originally bought the shorter one, but took it back the next day as it is very limited in what you can carry on it. The guy at the roof rack shop said the smaller ones were meant for vehicles with sunroofs.
If you ever need to carry a second spare like I did, you will need the longer one.
Could you catch a few pictures of yours? Just so i could compare the length, I'm trying to decided should go for a 44102B or 44100 the shorter one, cheers.
If you are going to spend the money, may as well go the 42102b. Used it already to transport idea bookcase home on the weekend.
