  • Arb bull bar number plate flip thing

Does anyone have a flip up number plate holder on an arb bar?

Where did you get it? What did it cost? Does it get in the way?

I am thinking of getting one to give the dyneema winch rope UV protection.

Exactly what I was thinking.....now have to work out how to rig up a 12 volt solenoid in such a manner that it's not too obvious!

        Hi,

I got mine when I bought the ARB bar and winch at the same time. It was included so don't know how much they would be seperatly

I have one of these: http://www.uneek4x4.com.au/bull-bar-number-plate-flip/

I have had no issues with mine so far. Comes with a pin to stop it moving up, but i ditched the pin and haven't had any issues.

My ARB bar came with one that I didn't use or need as I drilled holes in the bottom of the plate and mounted it from there. You can have mine free, just pay postage. PM if interested.
              Cheers

I enquired about this through ARB quite some time ago. I was told the part wasn't available standalone but was included with the JK Wrangler fitting/accessory kit that was available to purchase seperatly without the bar for about $150 (comes with a wiring loom or something else as well). I will probably still have the part no. somewhere if someone really wants it.

The price at the time was more than I was prepared to spend just for the flip bit so never went ahead. As kenny5000 did, I just drilled two holes in the bottom of the plate and mounted it higher, this has worked fine for me as well.
