last time i asked tjm brendale about recovery points they quoted me $600 incl. fitting - they said it was a real pain to fit.

also, your bullbar mounting brackets attached to the chassis are completely different to mine. mine has 2 bolts running straight along the chassis. did they have to change this to make the recovery points work?
GXL I think u will find a while ago the only point they could get required the removal of the bar to get on, since the things have moved on and that is not the case now as different point have come onto the market for the 150.

I am getting recovery points fitted to the T3 (should be done now) and the total cost is $220 including fitting. I doubt there is that much difference between the T3 and T13 'down there'.

What does the mounting bracket on your T13 bar look like Ages? Any pics? I haven't seen the Adventure Products ones but if the pattern is the same as the Roadsafe ones you may have issues.

ETA: Is this what the Adventure Products ones look like?

This link came up in my Google search, most other hits concerned the FJ Cruiser. I notice the ad calls these Blitz Recovery Points, not sure why they came up in a search based on these criteria "adventure products recovery points prado". Haven't seen any like those ones before!

The guy from Roadsafe I have been dealing with said he's in the process of redistributing them via TJM. He was going to talk to TJM about the issues some of us have been having mounting them though so maybe that's the holdup. It appears there are 2 versions of the bullbar mount for the T13 bar and the one I have on my KDSS equipped Kakadu has some alignment issues with the bolt spacing/pattern used by the Roadsafe points.

If you have a look at this thread in the 150 Accessories forum you will see what I'm referring to.

You can get them from here :-
    http://www.roadrunneroffroad.com.au/...ery-Point.html

    TJM sell them too.

I have a set but just trying to sort out some issues with the different TJM T13 mounts, waiting on Roadsafe to get back to me on that.

I bought a set of the red Outback Ideas points from Manell motors the other day. Both Mannell motors and TJM Hornsby told me that the Outback Ideas bloke has retired and they can no longer get these recovery points. Mannell motors still had a couple of sets left but that was the last of their stock.

I have noticed that even fleabay dont seem to be selling the yellow road runner ones... Is there something going on with these recovery points that I don't know about? Are we about to reach a critical world shortage of Prado recovery points and should start stock pilling them in underground bunkers now?

Just looking at them, they are advertised as tow points, not recovery points and again would not be rated as such.
Again strength would be related to the type of bolts used.
I would suggest that these guys have recognized the limitations, hence recommending that they are used with an equaliser strap.
At the end of the day as long as we are picking up suitable mounting points, using appropriate bolts at the correct tension to fit and due diligence when either winching and more so when snatching any of these aftermarket plate style points should be effective.

I've just fitted a set to my 150 with the ARB bar, from what I can establish these are the same as on ebay and are made by Roadsafe.

    Here is the link

    http://www.roadsafe.com.au/extreme_offroad.html

They are designed to be used together with an equaliser strap, so you then place equal strain on the chassis.
