  • Trans Cooler with fan fitment

I had my wagon on the hoist today so I thought I would show everyone how I fitted the B&M oil cooler to it.
The mounting is bolted to the bullbar supports and is made out of 50/50/6 aluminium angle. The mount holding the cooler are valve cover isolators off "C" series Cat engines.
I plumbed it from the trans then back to the radiator cooler. The cooler has a thermostatic switch set to turn the fan on the cooler on at 95C and off at 90c. With this set up we are seeing around 15/20c lower temps

    Sean

Here is a to link to Summit racing.

I changed the temperature switch to a 95dc on and 90dc off. If you want to change the switch the instructions state the wrong thread size. The cooler is actually 18X1.5mm threaded

Hi Sean. Did you source your thermostat switch from B&M or locally? I need to change these before I fit to a couple of Prados. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks, leigh
