  • Re 'tune' the gearbox to take advantage of modifications?

Hey just had a thought but is it possible to easily re tune the box?

Ive just fitted an aftermarket exhaust and find that the power kicks in way lower on the rev range...which is great but.. the auto still holds the revs to take advantage of 'the old' power band when in fact now it could shift sooner to get on the turbo quicker.

True, but they are not going to address his performance mods....in fact the latest mods make the car hold 3rd (sometimes) and 4th gear (won't select 5th till 60km/hr) way to much IMO

in my old lancer when i replaced the dead battery it drove crappy and wouldnt idle, as it had learnt to drive with a dirty afm. So i cleaned the afm etc and it went back to normal. maybe try disconnecting the battery for a hour or so and see if that makes a difference. may go back to default settings. could be wrong but easy to try.

          Cheers Joel
