Pardon my ignorance as I am an electrical retard but does the redarc SBI12D basic set up cater for starting on either battery? That is, say the main battery goes flat, can I start up on the aux battery or do I need another component?

    Tim,

re the Scangauge reading, remember our discussion last week. I have a scangauge and volt meter wired direct to both batteries and mine always reads 0.7v higher than the scangauge

    cheers
    Geoff

Nope... had it awhile. I fitted the dual batt system to it 3 months ago lol. They mentioned the brake controller then and I'm pretty sure I warned them to book in for xmas

Cars I finished today have been booked in for the last 4 weeks.

Seriously... 25 years of the same trip and you haven't learn to plan ahead yet!

Hi Brougham, you had every reason to be grumpy if you wanted.

Your order should have been there sooner.

BTW, an E-mail has been sent.

    Regards and apologies, Tim.

Either PM me or post up on here and I will follow it up.

My orders were delayed for a couple of weeks because, if they come in, I have to fill Trade and Wholesale orders first, but again, I’m not sure what kit you are referring to.

If you have not got your order by now, it has been overlooked ( no excuse if it has been ) and if you PM me your details, I’ll find out why I missed it!

Also, I am here till 9 PM just about everyday, so I am also not sure why you couldn’t get me by phone.

E-mails are a totally different thing, I have a bad habit of not replying to them all and have no excuse for that.
Hi Tim, kit arrived this afternoon, finally. Will PM you.

I'm not being a PITA grump, just trying to pass along some feedback.

Hi RanJ and yep happens every year and I try to meet late orders, but in this case I think I may have misplaced the order so it is totally on me.

    Hi Leigh and thanks.

Also, the new isolator is now on back burner because of the high volume of orders.

It's too late now. I'm in Perth and he's in QLD. Won't get it in time even if express posted today.

The lack of contact is disappointing the most. Now I have to try to wire up a temp line to run the fridge & camper, at more costs to me.

Wasn't having a go at you Brougham personnely, just fact, as Christmas approaches there is always
a rush as people suddenly decided they either need a dual battery system or to upgrade their existing
unit before going away for holidays, same thing happens from the trade side, we suddenly remember
we need to order parts in before the holiday shut down only to find the suppliers have run out.

Tim usually is pretty responsive, he was about to bring a new model out a few weeks back so
maybe has been holding back on sending orders till they are up and running.

If he still has the old model he maybe be able to send you one of those if you can't put it off
any longer, persist with the phone calls he must be there.

I take a bit of offence at that.

I ordered my Traxide kit and paid for on Nov 9th. Well before Xmas rush. Was told 2-3 week lead time. Allow 3 weeks at max. That would've been end of November.

It's now been over 5 weeks and still nothing. No replies to emails, phone not being answered.

This is my 3rd Traxide kit, as I've always been really happy with the quality. However the service this time has been woeful.

I understand this is a busy period. Thus why I ordered start of November, and when I was told a 2-3 week lead time due to the busy period, I was okay.

Now it's 5-6 weeks and I leave this week for a trip and don't have a dual battery kit which I ordered in plenty of time to have received at this time of the year.

Now I wish I had ordered the Sidewinder kit. Might not have been as good, but still better than nothing at all.

Maybe Tim might see this post and reply since he's on here but can't seem to reply to emails or answer the phone.

The dies to stamp them out would cost big $$$, and that cost would be spread over a relatively small number of sales.

All my ABR stuff including isolators, manual reset circuit breakers etc. are going strong after 4 years. It is easier if you can cut and crimp cables to length although all mine fitted perfectly.
