Hi all,
I’m sure this has been asked before, but struggling to construct a search that will locate it for me. Specifically, if I want to get cables (at this point a UHF antenna cable with plugs on) from engine compartment to behind the radio area, what’s the best route? I’ve seen people mention grommets and I see a couple in the engine compartment. There’s a little blank grommet that is easily removed and when I poke a screwdriver through it seems to hit wadding. Is this the one? Or there’s another that seems to already have quite a few cables through it. If anyone were able to point me in the direction of the “best” route, maybe even a couple of photos, that would be helpful please.
I recently installed a wired in dual camera dash cam and was quite pleased with myself that I managed to get wires over the top of the passenger compartment using one of those rigid electrician’s rods from Bunnings. Wired it into the unused 12V power outlet wiring near the 220V outlet in the boot (GXL) and stuffed all the electronics above the light behind the drivers sun visor. Was able to get the USB cable for the rear camera through the existing flexible cable gland to the trunk door. All in all very satisfying.
