Hi ..my Prado Kakadu alarm went off as the battery was almost flat. The solenoid started going crazy. I had to disconnect the battery. After recharging I reconnected the battery. The alarm went off and the car self started. I couldn't shut it down and had to disconnect the battery. Smoke started coming out the engine as electrical wires were melting. Has anyone somr helpful info as I'm not certain as to what was going on.

Unfortunately wires were pushed through the large grommet surrounding the wiring loom nearest the steering wheel and not sealed adequately. After washing the engine water seeped along the loom and onto the plug. As well as the engine turning over the brake lights would come on when parked and nobody around. The plug has a number of wires going into it but the opposing plug just seems to be a type of blank with pins. Iv'e cable tied it upside down to prevent any further issues as well as silicone the offending wires.
