    Well my Chip it module turned up in the post last week, but I had to cool my heels as I was on night shift and had no time to fit it .
    Come Saturday, off came the intake elbow in went the EGR blanking plate(I copied it without the hole) and on went the Chip it module. Well two days in and no fault lights and the power is good.
    I would have to thank Robert from Chip it for the great service and the answers to my technical questions before purchase.
    I was very pleased with the whole package from the instructions to the quality of the parts used.

    Thanks again Robert.

    the exhaust will smarten things up even more. The toyota engines really come alive with a 3" exhaust ... yes, we recommend a full 3" not 2 3/4 inch when chipping as the engine is no longer in standard trim. In STD trim the 23/4 inch system is fine of course as you do notice an improvement there too.

    I have a 2010 3.0L Diesel in what approximates a Kakadu model in in the land of the long white cloud--no long range tank and no electronic diff locks so I have air lockers. Aside from extra battery and Redarc kit no other engine mods. Haven't played with the exhaust but now am kind of interested since I actually didn't expect much from the chip--used to play alot with petrol mods in the States. I have had 2-3 episodes where the engine cranks but no start. Quick punch of the starter button then another attempt at start and no problem. We have cold weather here now so may be a richening of the mix during cold start but otherwise no problems. I purchased the portable code reset device with the CHipIt but haven't needed it--sits in the glove box.

    I am running out of spots to mount one also.
    Hi Dave,

    I ended up raising the EGT up from where it was & is now out of the way,

    [img=http://s15.postimage.org/64e54fsnr/_30_06_2012_029.jpg]

    where it is now I can see the temp readout no problems.

    I put some good double sided tape (labeled as automotive tape) on the sticky velcro patch supplied with the EGT, as it had been moved a couple of times and wouldn't stay there. I can report that it is behaving now.

    Update on the chip.

    It's been a week now & no problems whatsoever & is using about 1.5 litres per 100k less than pre chip, easy! And thats mostly around town.

    Still have to resist the temptation to plant the foot at the lights, as the looks on other drivers faces just about make it seem worth it.

    Cheers

    Lawrie

    The Chip It office keep getting calls with requests for the discount however they ARE NOT taking orders for forum discounts on the main number. It is only available via the forum or direct email.

    Many thanks
